Is it alot easier to get pregnant the second time around. Heres what I mean. Before my wife got pregnant we would have sex without protection for over a year. (sex 4 times a week) I would just pull out in time. We had a kid because we decided to and I didnt pull out of course. We are just gun shy now about going back to no protection and pullin out like we use to. Should I feel confident in going back to this method?? I just hear urban legends I guess that its way easier to get pregnant a second time? Wats ur 2 cents? Thankyou!!

ok heres my question

You'll find some excellent information about birth control at the planned parenthood website. A lot of this is a numbers game and it ultimately depends on your risk tolerance. Some of the numbers suggest that the chances of pregnancy differ based on (obviously) proper use of the method and whether or not there has been a prior pregnancy/birth.
"Pulling out" is high risk, obviously... combine it with the old fashioned "rythmn" method, the risk drops... get some good solid information and decide how high a risk you want to take.
has she seriously tried ALL means?
seriously the pill makes me queazy if I don't eat and the patch actually made me dizzy the first day I put it on for like two hours. I never used the ring, but the depo shot was great. Some women have irregular bleeding or different things, but no upset tummy.
Look into them all, then you can go back to bareback with your wifey.
good luck.
Thanks for the info. appreciate it. Tried all means of birth control but it just made her sick. So we've been just using condoms. But I was thinking about going back to my old method of pulling out first, nothing feels better than going in bareback. Worked for a long time. Just someone told me it was easier to get a girl pregnant when its their second time or third etc etc.
Although pregnancy and birth are natural conditions, they do wreak havoc on the woman's body. The physical stress leaves some who had difficulty becoming pregnant the first time more liely to become pregnant the second. For others, pregnancy leaves some stresses that make subsequent pregnancy difficult.
If there are issues with the immune system, one pregnancy will be followed by a series of miscarriages. Bottom line is that it is likely a wash. Psychologically, some who have difficulty the first time relax and have a second pregnancy easily. No simple answer.
I assume you are suggesting she is on the pill when you allude to "birth control."If so, perhaps she would tolerate the ring or patch or shot better. Some women try three or four different pills before they find one that is tolerable for them.
Withdrawal is about the least effective method of birth control there is. Except condoms in the drawer. You seem to resist anything new. There is always celibacy.
Brandye is the best person for answering that, really.
I'm sure she'll see the question soon enough and give you an answer that's a bit more based upon actual science. lol.
I don't think the pull out method is the best, though, whether you've had no kids or 20 - still has a high failure rate either way.
well we are using condoms, but man they dont just cut it. And we tried birth control but she gets sick from it. Basically I was just wondering if after being pregnant that it was easier the to get pregnant the second time. Like do the insides of a woman make it easier for some reason. Or is that hog wash. Someone told me that the inner workings make it easier after a first pregnancy for some dumb reason.
[QUOTE=Quote (JustTrying2BeAGOODBoyfriend @ July 09 2005,12:01)]Yeah in fact 19% of women who depend on the pull out method without ANY type of contrasceptive USUALLY get pregnant within 4 months of using that method.... that is just statistics.... just place ur nuts in hot water ((ABOVE 98.6 degrees F)) for about half an hour a day... <> and that actually reduces your fertility exponentialy, because Sperm need a constant i think 98.6 or close to that temperature to live.. if u make it HOTTER or COOLER, then they WILL die... there are other ways of making u infertile w/o surgery, that WILL reduce your chances of getting her pregnant... also... tight fitting underwear and pants, which wont allow your testicles to cool off which will further your infertililty.... it s true.. but i dont wear tightie whities soo... u can go ahead and try it LOL

Close, but sperm need to be kept at a temperature below 98.6, that is the bodies temp. which is why the testis hang outside, so they can get cooler. I guess your method would work to reduce fertility a little bit though. Just keeping the testis at 98.6 or higher for a prolonged amount of time. I would ask a doctor though before relying on that too much, but I'm guessing that you found some statistics on it, so I would tend to believe you.
I think I would just get her on the pill or use condoms.
She could also use the patch, get the shot or use the ring. Several options.

Your odds are the same as the first time, but the truth in what you’re saying is that the longer you use the pull out method alone the more you are testing fate. The pull out method alone is not a very reliable way to prevent a second
