A senior manager at my company asked me directly if I wanted to "bang a chick." (His own words.) He offered to take me on a business trip to a foreign nation where we do a lot of business; apparently he has friends there who can arrange that sort of thing.
He was very cool and casual about the whole thing, inquiring as to if I liked women, if I had a gf, etc. He probably thought I would benefit from getting laid. I'm pretty sure I was right to graciously decline his offer.
But I have never encountered anything remotely like this ... my brain is reeling. This manager is twice my age and married with kids. We have a good business relationship. Maybe I am just naive; Is this sort of thing more common than I thought? What are the implications if I said yes?

That you will pick up a sexually transmitted disease. You will have no idea what a stranger's history is. Keep in mind that to sleep with a person is to have sex with every other person s/he has ever been with. So, if a guy three guys before gave her something, then in all liklihood, she will be passing it along, whether she knows she has something or not.
In this day and age, this is just playing Russian Roulette with more than one bullet in the chamber.
OK the implications with diseases are pretty obvious... but what about social repercussions?
i.e. People warn you to never date people from the office for good reasons. Do similar rules apply to this sort of thing?
I'm pretty sure the "chick" would not have been from the company, probably from an escort service or the like. Those things are popular overseas.
Maybe this was some sort of character test?

Obviously... the country in question has a well established "sex tourism" industry.

Perhaps. But he told me he was raising my salary *before* he brought up the thing about sex. And considering some of the other things he's done/said around the office... I think he's just a perverted manager.
(Hey, I am a pervert too. I just keep it under wraps at the office.)
I say good choice, most people don't need to go overseas for some " suky suky fiii dolla" and now you are free of stds
