recently i had a heavy period (1 month ago) and this month my period was very very light with little blood..however str8 after the blood stopped i got a gloopy kind of discharge. (i know the quantity of discharge increases around ovulation but this was str8 after my period! :s) it's been clear (with a slight whitish tinge) coloured and has smelt quite normal, hasnt been itchy or sore but it just comes out in a gloopy string and then drops after a while.(sorry to b graphic but im a little confused!) it became gloopy again after i got fingered by my bf too...why did this happen?

Well, this might sound odd, but you can also taste it... (Hey, the guys do!) You will taste different at different times of the month, but I think you'll be able to taste if something is sour, meaning a yeast infection or something. But I agree also with Brandye...so by all means, also get yourself to a gyn if you're sexually active!
thanks everyone..it seems to have cleared up now...i think i was fretting too much and convincing myself i had an infection. it didn't smell bad and wasnt rlly strange coloured, and it didnt itch so i think im alrite! thanks again everyone - once again you've saved my poor nerves (hehe!)

you said you got this discharge after your bf fingered you? it sounds very much like natural lubrication to me. your vagina prepares to recieve a penis by lubricating itself and if you are turned on its likely that you will 'get wet' as its more commonly known. some days just have heavier discharge than others too, especially if you have been maybe thinking about things that turn you on like your bf fingering you again. it does sound pretty normal to me. i doesnt sound like an std imo. when it turns a funny colour or starts to smell, thats when you need to consider that there might be a problem like a yeast infection or an std. hope this helped
Look, it is probably a normal cleaning out after only a year of having your period. BUT, you are of an age and this is an abnormality that you should be having your first gyn exam. Get to a gyn and get yourself reassured. No diagnosis is possible here.
Given your short time of having your period, it is entirely possible that you ovulated right after your period. Most of us took some years for our periods, and ovulation, to become regular. Some never do and some women ovulate several times a month.
anyone?? please im desperate!

uhh I don't know but I heard somewhere that if chunky stuff was coming out it's a symptom of STD or infection. I'd suggest you go get checked it can't hurt. A friend of mine has a friend when she gets an orgasm stuff with a white tinge comes out but I don't know about gloopy texture.Sorry this is all I know.
