An Israeli MP has blamed parliament's tolerance of gays for earthquakes that have rocked the Holy Land recently.

Okay so; It's intolerance & ignorance of others who are unlike heterosexuals &those who support the anti-gay law. I find this anti tolerance immoral as human beings, after all, we are all created equal within our heart's; find the approach to gays & bi's to be narrow minded and unconscionable .

I've heard similar stories from Pat Robertson, saying the Asian Tsunami was because of the hedonistic ways of the people in the area. That and when a community had the 10 commandments moved, a massive storm broke out soon after....he claims it was God punishing them.

I know some good Christians, not one myself, but people like him give the group a bad name.

my girlfriend is a christian (im not) and on a recent trip to London she said she commented on a guy preaching down a microphone on the street corner saying that "people like him are to blame for the stereotyping of christians" and i totally agree.

he was spouting some crap about how modern society is immoral due to people having sex outside of marriage and random crap like that.

nothing against anyones faiths or beleifs but seriously some people just go way too far...

This has been pretty much the party line for extreme right evangelicals for quite awhile - the late (un)great Jerry Falwell laid everything at my (being gay myself) doorstep - 9/11, Florida hurricanes, you name it.

And this stupid woman from Oklahoma has been a lot of fun lately, claiming we're "worse than terrrorists" and comparing us to "toe cancer"!! I certainly don't condone death threats or any kind of physical violence but I'm glad her comments have raised a lot of outrage.

Geez DVD: I did not know the gay population was responsible for all this stuff! How absurd can people get? How bout the US gov't was responsible for 9/11 and the terrorists? Now there is a workable theory! Blaming the gay population? These extremists should be locked up in the Psych. Ward!

He blamed an earthquake on gays? How hard do they go at it in Israel?
At least someone felt the earth move (oh come on, it HAD to be said!).

It's petty tribalism at it's best. People will think of the most ridiculous theories on what ever little information they get in their little black and white fallacy of the world.
As Chris Rock said; "Anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the entire argument is a damn fool. LISTEN... let it swirl around your head a lil bit... THEN form an opinion."

That being said, you know what's really causing global warming? Mormons.

Pretty correct; listen to both sides and then make up your mind. What scares me the most is the extremist which are in politics which cannot find the way to separate their extreme beliefs in their political choices. Much similar to the radical Evangelist's blaming gays for all societal issues; moreover, with this it's and act of God [and earthquake] without cause, blaming a specific population, for specific natural effects. Did you know there was one the other day in CT? I suspect the will blame this too on the "gays". Intolerance in today's world annoys me. Personally I'd rather buy into there is an International Global Influence Group/Intelligence that strategically places such through causing underground plates to shift for economic reasons or the global good.
