Thank you, I was wondering why I couldn't log in.
So what's new about the system you switched over to???
Before this move, we were using a fork of the Drupal CMS system that integrated with the vBulletin forum software system... Sadly, a few months after we adopted it, a couple years ago now, the people maintaining the fork quit supporting it... leaving us in a bad place. The core of drupal was moving on... as was the vbulletin software... and we were not able to upgrade anything with either.
Since we've been sitting on a ticking time bomb from the security / reliability perspective... we couldn't afford to wait any longer...
With this move, we have moved completely to Drupal (with a plugin that improves the stock forum functionality)... Although its not as strong as vBulletin was, it does help ensure security and reliability.
Being on just Drupal also means we can start adding some modules to improve the usability of the website, though we've been running into a ton of problems getting them to work properly... which is why no big new features have really been added yet... Even the Captcha module to prevent spammers from registering as easily doesn't want to cooperate with us... :S
We're working hard on it though... and hoping to be back to smooth sailing soon.
I'm liking the new layout of the forum but it still needs some work. Hopefully spammers will have a harder time getting in here, but at least we can log in now :D
I'm wondering who else from the original order of things has returned to support the new software.

I know I've been gone for a very long time on this site, but when did we have so many spammers that the overhaul was needed???

Just curious; to what extend is the forum operational? And what type of work are you still doing/planning to do? I've noticed threads updating with posts from a few weeks back, so seems like something is still running :)
And is it correct we are not allowed to post any new threads yet? In the forums it says: "You are not allowed to post new content in this forum". Well, at least it says so to me ;)
I noticed this as well. Can't start any new threads.
To be fair, I can see why. After (how many years has this site been up?) I believe there are no more questions that can be asked that has not been already responded to in previous threads.
Unless something new and interesting comes up.
Found another oddity. Any forum you go to (ie Pleasing Him/Her, etc) that also has a thread within of the same name just shows you that one thread, not a list of all the topics in that forum.
Not sure if this is where you want bug finds listed, but makes as much sense as anywhere. :)
This particular issue should now be resolved. Please let us know if you run into it again.
Just wondering what happened to the search option? Is it coming back soon? I think it needs to come back so those who actually use it don't have to make new threads for things that have already been answered.
With no small amount of frustration, I finally got logged in. I sense some small bit of help from an angel mod. If so, thanks and congratulations on completing a massive shift. New format will take a bit of getting used to but we lived through a similar adjustment several years ago. Thanks, mods, for all you do( and now that this is over, I owe you an article or two).

I know; I should make sure all those little slip-ups are corrected before hitting the save-button. But sometimes I'm just blind to my own mistakes, until I re-read them a few hours later. So I'd much like the 24-hour-window to correct a few words, making my posts more understandable.
Holy cow..totally was not expecting this layout. But then again I've been gone for almost 6 months.
