I have spent years trying to come up with the answer this question...and after many attempts to prove this right or wrong, I have come to the conclusion...YES!!! lol. it can improve your staying power during sex. IDK if just masterbating alot can cause you to last a long time, but masterbating beforehand does, since it lowers your sensitivity. But I have discovered if I can manage to (or my girlfriend can turn me on enough) make it past a fifth orgasm be it masterbation oral etc, i start to become more senstive and actually have multiple orgasms...2-3 before i cum
