Ultrathin Condom Question

So yesterday me and my girlfriend had sex for the first time yesterday, and i could barely feel anything...we were both virgins, so maybe it was just nervousness, but i was hard as a rock, but i just couldnt feel much....so im thinking of switching to ultrathin condoms, because the ones i was using were just regular lubricated...but is there a huge difference in the effectiveness of the condom...like is there a higher chance of it breaking since its thinner? and is there really a huge difference between the two types as far as feel?

They can tear or rip more easily. Also, STD's are not impervious to them! Therefore, if one is infected then a disease can be transmitted. Be ultra safe & add a spermicidal foam or jelly to her when you use them...

okay thats what i was wondering...im not too worried about stds because were each others first for everything, but is there a major difference between ultrathin and regular as far as feel, or is there something else i can do to increase the "sensitivity?"

From what men tell me, yes they feel a difference in the ultra thin ones v. latex or poly ones. You can put some lube inside the condom to help. Which condoms? I have no clue...I don't use them anymore since I was married then later in a LTR, now on a dating "sabbatical" LOL! I have a FWB; and have known each other for 8 years or so...and have an "agreement" about truthfulness since we currently are in the same boat and STD free. If either wants to pursue someone else then it's condoms.

alright thanks serra...i figure for now it has to be condoms since were both under 18 and she doesnt want to go on birth control since she needs to go to a doc and her mom would have to sign off on some paperwork...perhaps later itll be without but for now i think i might just go get a variety pack and see what feels the best.

I'd like to add to what Sera has said regarding adding lube to the inside of a condom. Doing so provides some "wiggle room" that will help with the transmission of friction and sensation; however, add the lube to the Glans ONLY and not the shaft before rolling on the condom.

Wow that really sucks about your girlfriend having to get papers signed by her mom in order to get birth control. In my part of the country (USA) we have family planning clinics where everything is totally anonymous and you don't have to have parental permission to get on birth control or anything like that. Your girlfriend should check into such family planning clinics.

Always use a condom. It is grossly unfair to ask a woman to mess her body about with hormones and then NOT use condoms thus shirking your end of the responsiblities that go with having sex. So it doesn't feel the same BFD - it doesn't come close to comparing about how those BCPs might make her feel. Not to mention the medical risks associated with taking them.

If you're going to indulge in adult behavior you have to be adult about it.

Get ultra-thin latex condoms, lube the glans only, then lube the outside and deal with it

EEK calm down. yeah i said maybe later...but im saying in terms of maybe a few years down the road like possible marriage. Trust me im not going to just say lets get on bcp so i can go at it bareback. I went out and bought some trojan microsheers the other day. The only reason i asked about making it feel better is cuz my girlfriend is very giving and she is always wanting to please me, so i figure if i can make it feel better than she wont stress so much.
