First Time
Ok, easy and direct
My girlfriend and I want to have sex, she is on the pill and I am of course planning on using a condom. We both want to know if it is safe enough? Any other suggestions? Thank you very much

Remaining abstinent for the forseeable future is much much safer.
Using these two contraceptives together is pretty safe, the only thing safer when using these two would be the addition of a spermacide in the vagina.

I'm in the same situation as you. My gf and I have been using that exact method for almost a year, we haven't had any problems. If you're really concernced then try starting off with the Trojan spermicide condoms, thats how we started. As long as she is responsible with her pill use you'll be fine. HAVE FUN!!!
