Im not going to be "ready" to have one until I am married. But I am also not going to wait til marriage either.

Just figured this would be the best place to throw this in without making an entire thread about it... spermicide, I hear you can get it from a GP, does anyone know if this is the case in England nowadays? I know there's Family Planning and such, but I'm just wondering as it may be convenient.

If you don't feel comfortable asking your partner if she is on the pill then you don't need to be sleeping with her. Does she think there is more than a one night stand, which it sounds like you want, or are you leading her on? Again conversation is the best, beforehand and not after.

Where can you find vaginal spermicide? the local CVS (pharmacy) doesn't carry it. Also is it just a gel you put on the condom or is there an applicator that you use to put it into the vaginal canal?

With a contraceptive sponge and a condom, would there be any additional benefit to using a stand alone spermicide?

Was searching for how much the contraceptive sponge cost and it looks like they cost about $20-$25 each. is that about right?

No. I just did a US search and found 36 for ninety-nine dollars. Converted, that is about what they cost in the UK.

I also saw some for the price you quoted which is robbery.
