Late period..a little nervous

Hey guys
i know you prolly get this a lot lol...but My boyfriend and I had sex 2 times since my last period. Each time, we used a condom with spermicied, and it did not break. No trouble at all. Now I was supposed to get my period 2 days ago, and it hasn't come yet. I have all the signs that I'm going to get it that I ususally have. I'm usually pretty regualr, I only remember 1 time that my period was 5 days late, but I wasn't having sex then. I'm Getting a tad nervous... should i be worried?

Well, no method of birth control is 100% effective, but it sounds like you've taken reasonable precautions.

My understanding- I have no personal experience, not being female...lol- is that there are many thing that can cause a woman's cycle to be irregular. Exercise, stress, etc. They can even cause you to miss a period all together. Two days isn't really much off... so I don't think I'd be too worried.

You might try a home pregnancy test or visit your gyno just to ease your mind.

I think sex plays with your body. Anytime I do it, I'm late on my period. So, I sometimes think it's a bit of a mind game. Your mind knows you did it and wants to play with you.

But anyways, since you have all the symptoms of your period, I'd say wait a couple more days... but in the meantime, don't stress out about it. The more you do that, the more late it will be.

And if you haven't started your period by then, as oberon said, go get a pregnancy test.

haha i hope so...its just very nerve-wracking. Mostly because I dont see how there could be a problem, or me getting pregnant, nothing went wrong w/ the condoms lol. but then you think..wait...they do say their only 98% effective. ehh..im stressingn too much.

and the more stressed you get, unfortunately can make you even later. The woman's body is a fickle little creature sometimes. If I get nervous or stressed sometimes I get it sooner. so you never can tell, but being stressed can make it take longer sometimes. Sucks!!
