My girlfriend thinks she's pregnant. We've used a condom every time and we've never noticed anything where we've thought something could have went wrong. Her period usually comes around the 14th-16th and it's now the 19th and she says all the signs of her period coming have been and gone.
Sexual activity is rumoured to make periods irregular, but i mean, could it still come? What would be the best course of action to take now? If she was pregnant i'd be dead for sure because her Father is very strict. Have any of the females on this board experienced a very late period and everything turned out ok? How much later can it come and how long would you recomend waiting before her taking a test. We're both petrified as it's totally un-expected. I dunno what to do! Kev |

Go take a pregnancy test now. I've heard that you can take it once you've passed the day you were supposed to get your period. Also, check and make sure your girlfriend counted right. One time my girlfriend messed up counting when she was supposed to get it and we were freaked out for a couple days. Anyway, go get a pregnancy test now.

It is not TOTALLY uncommon for a woman to have a very very very light flow. However, it only costs a few bucks to get an over the counter pregnancy test. Don't wait. Get it done.
And while i don't want to ADD to your anxiety, you know that condoms are not 100% protection - there's always a risk!

I'll add my vote to the "take the test" column. There are things that can be done even if she is pregnant if you catch it early enough- like the morning after pill.
May I also suggest, if it turns out that she is not pregnant, that you add a spermicidal lube to your shopping list. It's a few bucks more, but offers a little more protection. Some condoms even come with it already applied, but if it were me, I'd want to do the applying myself- just to be sure. You may feel that way too after this.

Take the test. It won't hurt to take it.
About the morning-after pill, I'm afraid that it's a bit too late. And true, that sometimes period might be off or extremely light. Or you might miss it for several reasons aside from pregnancy. SHe might have lost a lot of weight suddenly, high stress, stuff like that. I would say go take the test quick. And if she' not pregnant, I would suggest her going on the pill and you starting to use spermicide as well as condoms.

its alright kevin
panic is a natural response just glad things have worked out for you now you'll know in the future to take extra extra precaution. as littlefury advised maybe get her on the pill or start using some sort of spermicide in combination w/ condoms. good luck.
