> i was recently with a new partner after a long relationship came to an end. she was very attractive and i really wanted her. when it came down to doing the deed, i couldnt get an erection.
Most likely this is a grand case of Performance Anxiety--nerves. More than likely when you two have more time invested in each other and have a "history" of doing things together, being with each other, and, being comfortable with one another this will go away.
> it felt good and she seemed to enjoy herself, but after about an hour of sex i had still not become erect.
By "sex" do you mean making out? Foreplay? Both? What?
> i did finally have an orgasm, but i never did get hard. is this a common problem?
PA and PE are both common problems. As you experienced, an erection is not required in order to have a climax.
> and how do women feel if there partner doesnt get hard. i dont want her to think she didnt turn me on.
Communication is key to a successful relationship and that includes a romantic one, also. Feedback on how we are responding to our partner's caresses is important so tell the girl how she makes you feel. If she has any knowledge she will know about being nervous. If not, enlighten her.
Please look at the Index. A link can be found at the top of the main screen. It lists several informative and helpful articles on all aspects of making out and making love. Read them as knowledge is empowering.
it dose happen there are a lot of things that can help get up one is forplay what works for you is betwen you and her. it is not as good if the member is not up but i know that i have fun as long as my bf has fun
New person, same old question. Yes, women would prefer it if you got fully erect but, eh, not a problem. Take your time and relax. The sex gets better the more comfortable you two become with one another.
