I really believe you are not as ready as you believe you are. My recommendation is to hold off a few more years and wait for some additional maturity and knowledge to come to you. In the meantime, have fun with the basics--necking and petting.

Your hormones are driving you (wild), still, I recommend waiting until you are much older. Some things, this being one, are worth waiting for and not rushing into simply out of curiosity or the fact that all your friends may be doing it. If you have to ask why, then you really do need to wait for the answer.
