Does anyone have tips for convincing your significant other to shave the "area?" I would really like her to try it because I have never been with a woman has done it and she is fully resisting the idea. She is convinced that only porn stars do this and that secretly I want her to look like a little girl. I even tried doing it myself and she said she did not care whether I did it or not and then was angry accusing me of doing it just to try to get her to do it. Any ideas on getting her to do this?

gotta agree that it is sort of a hastle to keep up with. dont know how she got the idea only porn stars shave but im wondering if that isnt the real reason she is so reluctant to shave. maybe her logic is: pron star = slut. shave = slut. could be either she doesnt want you to to think she is a slut or she thinks it means she is a slut because she is shaved.
i agree with the post here that says every gal should at least give it a try.
Ok those all sound like good suggestions. I had another attempt in convincing her last night and it did not go so well, I may just leave it alone for now and broach the subject a little later at a better time. I do like the idea of starting with a little (microtrimmer) rather than doing it all right away.

It's not just porn stars that shave. It is very common now a days. I have been shaving for years and I am not even close to a porn star.
I agree that using it as part of foreplay is a great idea. My hubby did that to me one night and it is very erotic. There are good products on the market for the bumps. I just rub mine down with some vaseline and the more you do it the less bumps you get. Use a top quality razor blade for this and light pressure. Trimming the hair first is best.
Remind her that is only hair and it will grow back. Tell her to think of having a night where she is smooth and your face is clean shaven and how that will feel. I love it! There is much more sensations without hair then with it.

hmm, the way you make it sound, i dont think shes willing to change her mind.But I know some people use this as a form of foreplay, where one partner shaves the other. Maybe 'a deux' she will find it erotic.... Although she may not go for it, but you can always try.
) i never have problems with the regrowth process (only the occasional razor bumps) but i must say i find it alot easier to maintain esp during that T.O.M and my significant other likes it silky smooth, he says its more erotic against his skin.

well if she is hell bent then there probably isn't much you can say to change her mind.
I've shaven completely clean down there a few times but its more hassle and the grow back is a bitch.
I prefer using one of those micro trimmer things you see on TV. I use it down there. There is some hair left but for the most part its good, and it doesn't itch when it grows back.
Maybe just getting her to trim w/ an electric razor is one step before actually getting a real razor and shaving it bare.
Now I use a real razor on my mound and sides around my bikini area just to keep it tidy lol.
