I'm just wondering something here. Right before my gurl is about to come she goes from moaning to grunting like a sow. Can anybody tell me why this is or has anyone else had this experience?

Moaning or grunting during orgasm

The action leading up to orgasm is a constant tightening of muscles - myotonia. The orgasm is a release of this tension. The muscles involved in an orgasm, especially in a woman, can extend from only the abdominal floor to virtually the entire body. We can enjoy "small" orgasms that involve a fluttering of a few of these and a sigh as well as earth moving shaking, quaking and screaming that lifts us off the mattress. Unlike you men, our every orgasm is different for us. It sounds like your g/f's tensing and release involves spasms of her diaphragm and vocal chords.
Never happened to me, but then, we each have idiosyncratic responses with variation from one time to another.
Different people, male and female, make different sounds during sex. There are moaners, screamers, grunters, growlers and surely other noisemakers I have never met.
Grunting is pretty common.
You forgot the silent folks, DLB
some people, for whatever reason, just... don't make sound. Odd, isnt it?
anyways, just ask her to tone it down a bit if it is bothering you.
Thecalliton I did forget the silent folk! I'm thinking, thinking, thinking...I don't remember ever being with a silent woman:) I believe it is we men who are famous for being quiet during sex. I find making noise makes it more pleasurable.

they are rare, i know that. Mostly it is a choice to be quiet, but some people just don't make noise. I really don't see why you atleast wouldnt make a little noise for your partner. I find noise sexy, and any porn i ever watch at all need sound (without that damn annoying music) i say porn, because i am in a long distance relationship (and a virgin :o )
Why wouldn't you make noise? Dorm room, parents' house, workplace, class room, airplane...to name a few reasons:D
It is theorized that women 'vocalize' during orgasm to lure the men in for more fun & games. For why else would prehistoric women want to publicize to all the lurking predators that there's a "two-for-one" lunch special available?

Or, put another way, BOGOF.....

Prehistoric predators carried cash???

Agreed! I feel like I can't reach a fully satisfying orgasm (except in fantasy) without moaning very loudly, which has almost never happened, partly due to the vicinity of other sleeping or waking ears, but also because I'm not entirely comfortable with my own voice. How do you get more comfortable moaning so you can vocalise your orgasm more? I read some literature that said you should say something you find slightly embarrasing and repeat it aloud until you're comfortable hearing it in your own voice.
Can anyone suggest anything?
(sorry, should this be another thread?)
Yes EEK, the wallets and credit cards are a dead give away.
I'm sorry Footfetish, but I'm going to call you footsie from here until the end of this post. I have never read that, have you tried the practice-makes-perfect method? There's a reason it's still around. Or try going somewhere out of earshot with your partner. No idea about the new thread bit
I thought most women were silent. I've never found (or heard of if you want the joke) a loud woman.
"I'm sorry Footfetish, but I'm going to call you footsie from here until the end of this post."
Why?
"I have never read that, have you tried the practice-makes-perfect method? There's a reason it's still around."
I know that. This is the only time I've seen this topic treated seriously so I wondered if more experienced people had something instructive/interesting to say.
"Or try going somewhere out of earshot with your partner. No idea about the new thread bit"
We've already done this a few times. It helps but it's not possible to do that often.

I've been with three women who were very loud.
the first time I got a girl to orgasm she was load. she was on later occasions able to be quite when people were around but it took effort
why would we girls be quiet . for me personaly im a moaner and i think it just makes haven sex more fun and hotter.
At first I was very quiet. Only the heavy breathing and my body shaking the bed (squeek, squeek ). But as I let myself go in the moment more and more, it felt so damn good to let it all out. I moan, grunt, giggle, scream, whatever sound comes from my core and shoots through my spine out my throat. To me freeing the sounds is like exhaling and inhaling the pleasure. Around the time I had learned to get lost and let go completely, I also started squirting :)

Ha, ha! LMAO!!! :D
hearing the (honest) moans is what makes it great, that is instant feedback in how well youre doing. to brandye's post about male orgasms; my experience is that some just involve squeezing my butt. others where the tension is purposely built up so that my whole lower body is tight and im gripping the sheets as if some force would pull me off.
BTW: my man is very silent. Apart from some heavy breathing and some encouraging comments, there are little noises. At times he makes a bit of a humming sound, which I know he does when he's calm and happy. A second before orgasm, a short oh-whisper. On orgasm there's complete silence and a short "m" as he seems to forget how to breath. Right after he sighs, sorta giggles and relaxes completely (when I'm under; drops his entire weight on me :)). Sighing ah's and oh's while he overloads me with kisses. Typical how he actually gets more vocal after.
I'm definitely vocal. I like trying to resist not to moan out all out once, I let it build until I can't anymore....but I do wish occasionally men would be more vocal. I find it much more erotic. If we happen to have some music on the stereo playing loudly, depending on what is playing...it's a moan for all. The amplification just makes it so much easier to let loose, moan, gasp, squeal etc.
I'm like you sensualGoddess,I get so loud sometimes that I forget that my teenage (almost 18 ) daughter is in the next room.I moan, groan, sigh and squeal. It is when she yells at me to shut up that I get all giggly and retort that she is just jealous. My partner tells me not to be nasty, but I have a right to enjoy myself don't I. I do try to tone it down as she has the right to a good nights sleep too.My partner doesn't make much noise apart from some dirty talk and a groan upon ejaculation.
