Read this link, it should give you some things that you are interested in finding out.

The least likely time to become pregnant is during our periods. That said, do not use this as a contraceptive measure. Women, especially young women, do sometimes become pregnant during their periods.
The biggest issue is to have some dark towels (burgundy are best) for under you and for her to wrap appropriately at the end. If a tampon is used, it should be removed half hour or so ahead of time else she will be very dry from tampon removal at the last minute.
No real issues and some of us really like it.
Hi there! I'm new here, but I happen to know there's a 'member poll' about menstrual sex with comments of girls: http://www.sexinfo101.com/forum/member-polls/25655-time-month-ladies-onl... Allthough ladies only, I guess you're allowed to read it ;)
For me; it's simply great :), see my comments and some tips on this topic. And like Brandy says, you can't trust on menstruation with pregnancy. For example; my ovulation varies between day 9-15, allthough my cycle is a rather steady 26-27. (I use natural family planning aka symptho-thermal method to check whenever I'm ovulating.) Given scientific research states there's a maximum of 3-7 days for sperm to survive, me and my bf never have unprotected sex past day 2 of my cycle. Even though I'm still menstruating on day 3, etc. We start doing it unprotected a few days after I've confirmed ovulation :) (somewhere between day 14-18 and I usually rather ad up a little more than less days).
O, about pregnancy; is it because you'd want to or because you'd want to prevent it from happening? I use this method for anti-conception, but it's also used by women who want to get pregnant :) As it's all about observing your cycle, you could use it the other way around.
