Some of the stuff in that video is 'news' to me! The only one I've tried is the upside down technique.
If you can't see the video, here's a description: That section shows them chopping the end off a cucumber, and then boiling it to make it soft. Then the guy hollows out the cucumber using a knife and then uses the veggie for his pleasure. Apparently the natural juices in the cucumber act as a lube. Though IMO it sounds like a lot of work to make a one-shot toy.

Determination. :) And you need a wall that has some fricton so you don't just slide sideways. When I tried that, I lived with my parents and my bed was right against the wall in my room. I just balanced my head and shoulders on the comfy mattress so that I could last longer with less discomfort.

I was preoccupied with the idea of "facials" and receiving oral sex and such.
