All notable and impressive. You are clearly a woman who has experienced life, but seriously: this is no justification for being snippy towards Saint simply because he is young and comes from a different background. Link me to a single post where he has shown a lack of respect and I will apologies wholeheartedly.

It's also traditional to begin a sentence with a capital letter.
Pointing out typos and misspellings really is the internet warrior's last bastion of attack SOTC. Really: time to leave the young man alone.

Jon, I actually was also raised in an upper class home. He in California and me in Michigan. If that is what you are calling a different background. I was blessed to have the opportunities that my parents were able to provide. I was raised to respect the law, may of been the circuit court judge and his family that lived at the end of my street. So in my parents home no alcohol til 21, and no illegal drugs. Sure I found a half pound of weed in my glovebox one day while out, it was my younger brothers and the keys that hit his forehead made a mark when I got back to school and it was gone before school ended for the day. And well beach parties, held in the sand traps of the local golf courses were a regular activity. We skinny-dipped in our pool and that is about as wild as it could get. We knew our parents had an eye on us so that is as far as it went, no wild orgy, just good clean skinny dipping.
Saint and I have many views that differ, and that will never change. As for feeling that I have disrespected him in any way shape or form, nope. If he's all that smart he needs to learn to spell, fell is what a person has done, feel is what a person does, dose is the amount of medication I take daily to prevent seizures (he spelled it correctly this last post), bread is what you eat or spend and breed is what we do to continue the family line. I am sorry again if he feels a personal attack, rather than some really good banter. |

How about looking at it this way. I pointed out to Saint the correct spelling of does, and in his last post he spelled it correctly. He states that he plans on going to MIT in the near future, and is currently enrolled in college. In high school if I wrote dose instead of does there would of been red marks on those papers and a deduction taken for words spelled incorrectly.
I'll take the credit for getting him to spell it right, by pointing out the error. And an error that happened on a regular basis. |

Why is the post I made, which you quoted, make it not plausable? Still spelling errors, and in no way have I ever said I was perfect. I find it odd that you want to compare Saint, a 16 year old boy, and myself, a 47 year old woman. If you refer to the words, just to stir the chili, look what it did. It stirred the chili.
Where is Saint in all this? I am more than willing to stand up for myself, he just thinks everyone hates him. If he wants to make it in this world he's going to have to grow a backbone and accept that the views he has are not what the rest of the world has. This topic, incest, is a hot one. Like pologamy, arrainged marriages, and marriages between a child and an a adult. By child I mean anyone under the age of 18. In my opinion incest has no place in society. That is my opinion and I think that anyone who has the opinion that incest will not be detrimental to those it touches when discovered are incorrect. To give those the reason to look beyond themselves and to possibly see that their actions are wrong and hopefully stop this activity is all I hope for. I guess Saint can be thankful that computers have spell checking and hopefully use it before turning in any paper. Yet if you do notice all the words are spelled correctly, just used incorrectly. Fell, feel, bread, breed, does, dose perhaps why they got by the spell check on this site. |
