Sometimes you become so focused in reaching a goal, a status, monetary level,
whatever.........that you sometimes become jaded and neglect what's REALLY important in life and THAT'S PEOPLE. People matter not possessions or assets they will tarnish and blow away like leaves in the wind. |

True, so long as you count yourself one of those people. Putting the rest ahead of yourself for too large a proportion of the time reaches no better results than you caution against.

I didn't, and for that matter still don't, see the big deal with calling someone by the name they grew up answering to. After calling this person by their nickname for probably 20 years there was no way I was going to get into the groove of calling him by his given name in a number of hours. I do wonder how long it took his brother and sister to get into the groove and his parents for that matter. LOL
I see the humor in it. And will forever hear him singing that song to me as he stood outside on his driveway. And CL it is true you do need to be careful what you say, how you say it and to who you say it. My mouth has gotten me into a fix a time or two. Getting asked who in the dorm causes the most issues is a question you want to avoid. It's not that I get along with them all, and they are all wonderful. Because you know that is a line of crap, yet spilling a name can lead more issues than they ever were a part of. Also this is like the posing nude or doing a porno, known or unbeknownst to you. If it gets out there is going to be some liability in some part of your life, maybe not today or tomorrow, but the day will come. It is hard to keep your mouth shut in a moment of passion or fury but that is what you need to do. Having something come back and bite you on the tooshie is so not fun. |

Adrenaline kicks in. You want to be the best. And if there is a dispute I can totally see going off, verbally, on someone if a microphone is shoved in your face. It is sad how what makes the new is all the hyped up stuff, how can they stir the pot to make something happen next for the next show.
I would hope that people are adults enough to see what is said in the heat of the moment is that. And that a handshake is more of an apology then anything else. It is hard to leave the battle on the playing field. Yet to be a bigger person is to know who they really are and to extend your hand. |

I checked all the doors and locks, twice. I was going to take a sleeping pill but I don't think that is a good idea. Why, it has been 14 years. I wrote the person who gave him my info a not very nice email, but I asked her not to give him any contact info.
The ex boyfriend who did 3 months for domestic violence called this evening. It was his half sister, who he had no clue about, that gave my info. This is wierd, very very wierd. |
