Ever have a bad strip club experience?

Having grown up in Portland,OR, the city with the most number of strip clubs per-capita in the country, I've obviously been to a few. In fact, a couple friends and I tried to see if we could eventually visit all of the 40+ clubs. Eventually though it grew mundane, besides, there was always a venue shutting down or a new one opening up, making a solid number hard to pin down.

My bad experience didn't occur in Portland, but in Seattle. Having moved up here a couple years ago, I was curious as to what the experience was like given all of the rules and regulations that were in place.

-First off, there are only like five strip clubs in the entire city.
-The one I went to had a $10 cover, and it was just only a Thursday night.
-No alcohol is served, so I was stuck with sipping on a $6 Coke.
-All stage dancers had to remain a minimum of four feet away from the patrons.
-I literally counldn't go for more than four minutes between being propositioned by a new dancer for a lap dance.

My bad experience peaked with this: I finally caved in and agreed to a lap dance, I actually had never had one before so was unsure about the setup. Given my naivete, I didn't know that it was charged per song (oh, so that's why she kept asking me if I wanted to keep going). Suffice to say it was a good thing that they accepted credit cards.

In any event: realize that taking clothes off of women is just a side-light to the real purpose of a strip club, which is taking money off of men ... as much as possible for as little as possible. Combine that with the fact that they're not exactly considered huge boons to a neighborhood, and thus are heavily regulated under vice and liquor laws, and a "no fun" experience becomes highly likely.

Haven't been there often, but never found anything remotely pleasant about them, anywhere!

Pretty much all of my times have been good except for that one. This pole may seem slanted only because I'm asking about negative experiences.

I've never been to a strip club, it always seemed kind of...stupid to me. It's like going to a restaurant to LOOK at all of the wonderful food, then you go home and microwave a hot pocket. Just seems like a waste of money that I don't have to spend in the first place.

I use to have the idea of going to a strip club would be fun, back when I was a teen. Then I lost all interest mostly because my first love broke my heart and ran off to become a stripper. She called me once from there crying and said how she didn't want to go on stage. I broke down on the phone and cried a bit, and asked her to come back to me and, I said she'd never have to do something like that if she didn't want too . Well she never came back and a year or so after that we talked, and she said how she loved the job. After all of that took place I knew, that I'd never want to go to a strip club ever again.
