ok well im new i guess you could say, so is my girl. we have had sex only twice. and only in missionary. i cant seem to get in unless her legs are up on my sholders. but once im in i let her legs slide down and hook around the bends of my elbows. i still dont get really deap penetration, and she says its to akward while i get in at the beginning.. i know we can do this postition without her legs up there to start with, but everytime we try with her legs down her vagina opening seems to be like to close to the floor or in an akward place where i cant get to it.. im not all that small im 6 inches. ive looked on the net everywhere and looked at pictures with explinations. i seem to be doing it the same way they say or show it. and yet i still cant get in while her legs are not up.. any help? or just a really detailed explination on missionary position?

Is she wet enough when you penetrate her? And why not try a different position? Try woman on top.
maybe try sitting up so you can see what your doing down there. using your hand to guide it in isn't bad either.
I hate to be the voice of common sense but I think that you've gotten some really good advice already.
-Make sure that your partner is wet enough and if there's any doubt about it, use lubricant like KY or Astroglide.
-Try a different position- there's a really helpful guide on this site with illustrations that may help you find a better position.
-Relax. If you are new to sex, it can be nerve-wracking when things don't go the way that you plan. The first few times that you attempt it, there will be a lot of awkwardness, pain and general badness. But with patience and some practice, I'm sure that things will get better.

I had a similar issue with one of the guys I was with for a while; we're both really thin and sort of bony in the pelvic region so traditional missionary was really quite painful and uncomfortable. We found a mutual solution with my legs up over his waist or shoulders, or me on top. Some people are just shaped differently. Try some different positions and see what works for both of you.
