Okay... Before I post my main question, let me bring you up to speed on myself: I am a 19 year-old man. I have never had a girlfriend although I am severely attracted to women. While I guess I would be considered a virgin, I had regular sexual intercourse with my step-sister when I was approximately 8 and she was around 9. This was first initiated by her. We would have "camp-outs" where either we would sleep together on a pallette on the floor in her room or in my room. On many occasions, my younger brother (who was about 7) would also be involved. He and I would take turns going down on her and she would alternate between going down on him and me. I don't recall if I ever reached orgasm, even after she and I moved on to penetration. Around this time was when I began masturbating. The sex went on for about a year or two and then our parents divorced. I have never talked to her since then, although we sometimes see eachother.
This brings me to my question (sorry for such a long intro, but I wanted to be thorough): Is it normal for a man to masturbate for no reason? I often find myself jerking off just because I am alone. I may have to arouse myself and this usually requires me to observe very hardcore, often taboo, pornography. I don't really even derive any pleasure from the masturbation, except for the orgasm, but those are getting weaker and less fulfilling. In addition to the previous question: Could my past experiences have something to do with my current habit? Sometimes I think of it as shameful, but other times I'm glad It happened. Has anyone else had a similar experience at this young of an age? Again, sorry for the length of the post. I just had a lot to cover.
Hey man i first had sex when i was twelve, and she was eleven, (kinda scary huh?), and i masturbate often, on average twice a day considering i skip a couple of day between jacking-off marathons, and i also need something more "taboo" and more out-there to arouse me, it happens to everyone, like this generation, it is like a desensitization of sex... but if you lay off for a while, ( for me a month or even 3 weeks is a while) then everything seems "new" including women... that is whut i suggest "try" to lay off it, but if you must, you gotta do it right? This works for me, i go on sexual preparation before i actually commit the act, so i take like a week or two to eat sweet food... well thats another story so nvm.

I feel you,man.I'm the same way sometimes.I'll just get the urge as my "hood" just pops up and I just start chokin' the chicken!I've recently discovered thoght that I'll do it more so because I'm just in the house with nothing to do and will continue to do it until I run out of ammo(which could be a while).Just get out in the world and keep your self busy.Even though I am no where near an expert, I really dont think it has too much to with your experiences as a kid.As a matter of fact,I'm surprised that you didnt use your experiences to your advantage!
Masturbation in and of itself is harmless! Men your age often masturbate up to and beyond 3 times a day.
Now, the fact that you are 19, and have not had a sexual relationship with a woman - while not uncommon - does give me some concern over your social interaction skills.
The fact that you have to use pornography (some very taboo) to masturbate to does speak to the need for you to get out and mingle in the world of REAL people.
Here's teh deal...if you have to keep "upping the ante" to get your libido fired up, it "can" lead you to become more reclusive. You see, if you have to dig into deeper and darker things to get your sexual needs met, then you're in fact, pulling farther and farther away from the "real world."
So, my suggestion is to start being more social. Join a gym, go to the YMCA, join a hiking club or biking club....anything to get out in the middle of the human race!
This will not only improve your overall social skills, you may even meet some nice women you can date....and the other benefit is that you'll have less time to be serching the web for porn and jackin off.
