Mix Tapes? Good or Bad?

Hi simple question guys, its me and my g/f's first anniversary coming up soon and all though she says that she's not that into annivesarys I wanna do a little something. One of the things I was thinking was to do a mixed cd of songs that remind me off her. Is this cheesy or a good idea. Both men and womens opionions are welcome. Cheers dudes.
