My wife and I have sex on average 3x a week. We have been married for a little over 11 years. I was wondering what everyone else averages per week. Are we below or above average?

I'm a very sexual person, my wife is as well, but NOT nearly as I. When I have an idea that we will be having sex that evening, I start to plan how I can make it better then the last time for her. If it's a new position or new foreplay.

I always make sure my wife ejaculates at least 2x during our sexual encounter. Once during foreplay and then once during intercourse.

Does this hold true for all of you? Or am I thinking too much into this?

Worrying about the Jones' down the street will only cause needless angst. "Normal" is a range and if the two of you are happy and content with this frequency then there is nothing to worry about. Discord raises its ugly head when one or the other of you is not happy. If this happens then you need to negotiate or change schedules or whatever is out of balance.

Asking members of our community for a number will not give you an accurate indication because you will only have a few people responding and they will be of varying ages. This alone is enough to make any numbers meaningless because young couples tend to make love more often as do couples in young marriages.

Sounds like you are doing just fine. We have been married 43 years and have sex 3-4 tmes a week. Here are some things we enjoy doing. You may already do these things, but if not you may want to try some of these things.

My wife and I have sex about once a week maybe two but we are very happy. The only problem is both of us being in the mood at the same time. I am mostly in the mood but my wife is usually too tired to enjoy sex. Sex in the afternoon is best for us since she is not tire and I am in the mood (as usual). The answer to the original question is determined by how happy you two are. Remember sometimes quality is better than quantity. You can have a truck load full of rocks but one diamond will still fare better.

Everyone is different, I wish I could say that I too have sex that often but on average it's 1 time per week, although sometimes we do have it 2 to 3 times (depending on the week w/ our kids & work). Any who... 11 years & 3x per week, I'd say that's very healthy.

To me I don't look for quantity, I look for quality. But that's just me & what I'd prefer. Some people want sex daily & don't care if it's quick. I don't care for those encounters, although we've had them & will have them in the future. I would rather take our time & enjoy one another than just have sex to have sex. JMO, HIH

We avergage about twice to three times a week. I think that is average...frankly I don't care. My guy and I both travel a lot for work, so when we do have time together, it's usually spent wisely...lol.

I agree sounds like bragging! We have been married for 7 years and have three young children and not only that but my husband is in Medical School and only home a handful of hours a day so we are lucky to have it once a week. And seriously multiple every time...sometimes I just don't feel like having to spend that much time, a quickie is nice sometimes!

Three times a week is about average for the USA. In some developed countries it is a little higher. I wish I were independantly wealthy so I could have more time for sex.
