i have been dating my boyfriend for about 3yrs now and some people say that i should go and date other people since im so young and i should see if there is someone else out there for me and also my boyfriend has a son and people say that since im only 18 i should try to find someone who does not have any kids so i wont have to deal with the responsibility i dont know what to do i love my boyfriend but sometimes i feel like i want to try soemthing different and stuff i dont know....any suggestions??

I've been with my now husband for a total of 3 years and I'm just 19. We got married when I was still 18. I can't really speak about the child thing since we don't have any children between us, but if you feel secure in your current situation, don't worry about it. It would come down to the questions of are you willing to be a mother at this point in time and do you think that your bf is the one? You should talk to your bf about all this and see what he says. Many people tried to tell my husband that he should've dated more than one chick (we were each other's first) and he ignored them. We are now married and couldn't be happier although we've had our problems. It all depends on how you feel about it and what you think that you should do about it b/c this will affect you and your bf and not them.

This is good advice to date others. At 18 there is so much more to learn and experience. Plus him having a child will complicate things even more and could become a big obstacle in the relationship.

If you're gonna date others, make sure you make the right decision to leave your bf. He may or may not take it well. I don't know anyone that would take would take too kindly to being left by their gf of 3 years. Hopefully, if you do decide to leave him, leave on good terms. Just be careful.

I mean you also have to condsider that if he THAT much older than she is, and they've been together 3 yrs... they started dating when she was 15.
Did he have a kid then??
