The simple fact that you're married does not mean that you cannot appreciate other people of the opposite sex. The difference is that you shouldn't act on that, since you are no longer single.

You should also do it with discression. It is hurtful to your parner if he or she catch you oogling and drooling over someone else.

Theoretical answer is no, you shouldn't be doing it. But in practice, it is hard to stop doing something you are hardwired for. So at the very least you need to be very discreet.

Because they're afraid (a) the spouse is going to run off with some else or (b) people will notice and think less of them.

It could also be because they feel that they do not get the same amout of oggling and do not feel as attractive to their partner as the oggled person is, and that could easily upset them.

Like I mentioned...INSECURITY....best try to get some help to deal with it...why do you feel that they would run away with someone else?? there has to be underlying feelings..
