Try getting a little drunk beforehand...I had my girlfriend drink a half bottle of wine (not to convince her, just to ease everything along) before the first time she ever had anal, and everything went fine. We tried it again at a later date without the alcohol with much more difficulty.

Anyway, the best advice I can give for relaxation and having it not hurt is what works for me.

Get in doggie position, get lubed up (both of you), put a little vibe on your clitoris and enjoy how great that feels. Pretty soon, you'll be very ready for it. Then gently ease back onto him. sum tips that helped me...

Lay on your side, with the bottom leg straight and ur top leg bent with a few pillows under it so you can relax ur leg, think of sumthing that will help you relax ur mind, use plenty of lube, let him grow inside of you, the harder he is, the harder it is going go in on your first few times. Have him keep moving, if you have to stop after he gets in a little, then tighted up your muscles like you are trying to stop a bowl movement.
After the head of his penis is in, then the worst part is over. Move gently and try to keep relaxed.

Try first with one finger, then two. It's easier to control fingers than a penis. When the fingers feel comfortable, YOU move yourself on his penis.
