Well, it sounds silly, but it tends to work.
If he wears one, get him a watch.
Timex sells some nice higher grade watches that are under $100.

And, if you want to go an extra step, you can go to a jeweler and have it engraved.

Yeah, I was wondering myself. Cause this year, my bf doens't want anything big and fancy and overly expensive. And last year I got him a real nice thick leather guitar strap. So now I'm completely confused as what to get him. Aside from a card

that's a good question.

I'd like to hear what guys would like.

I tend to think like a girl so i would answer as a girl would answer not a guy....
I'd imagine he'd want you to just want him so bad and take him and give him great pleasure from the posts I've read about guys...give him fun, a hint of naughty, a hint of fantasy and imagination... you decide what that would be since you know him the best.

I'll usually take a pass on the gift, but I always like a nice night out to dinner or a romantic dinner alone at home. Last year spent the night in the city at a fancy hotel. Had one incredible evening of sex and passion!

a hotel and just the two of you is a fun idea. i did that for my girlfriend last year. or the watch idea is nice too if you'd rather do something more material.

I went to alot of trouble once with the hotel idea..even got the boss to give the guy time off for it... It turned out to not be so fun. He was embarrassed about it somehow. I had wanted it to be so romantic and special... *It was a control issue I think... LOL...
I highly recommend the hotel idea if you can read the guy right. It's good to know that I had the right idea in general.

well, I for once, finally figured out what to get him. Since he didn't want anything fancy, I got him build-a-bear, and gave it one of the nicknames he calls me, as well as a nice trip to Frederick's of Hollywood. HE better be a very happy man this Monday. HEhehehe
