ok me and my boyfriend have started experimenting in using a camcorder whilst having sex and replying it when were on our own for a long time ect. is that weird? only because well i know celebrities do it all the time but i always thought that was just to stay in the public eye, obviously with my films they wont be going out to the public, so is that so weird? also does anybody else do things like this? and if so have you got any tips on maybe making the tapes slightly better to watch, ie. better angles ect.

making your own porn-good/bad?

> me and my boyfriend have started experimenting in using a camcorder whilst having sex and replying it when were on our own for a long time ect. is that weird?
In a word: NO
> obviously with my films they wont be going out to the public, so is that so weird?
"Weird" meaning that your films won't be available or that they will be?
It would be worse than weird if your private videos fell into the wrong hands or happened to made available commercially.
> does anybody else do things like this?
My guess: Lots and lots, although, certainly not most.
> have you got any tips on maybe making the tapes slightly better to watch, ie. better angles ect.
You are limited in what can be accomplished artistically using just one camera. I'd suggest experimenting with camera placement, lighting, and scripting. Have fun learning by doing.
Anything that is recorded in this modern age may well end up in very wide public distribution at any future time. There is no way anyone is ever going to record this chick in action!
Other than professional porn images, the biggest source for sex films on the internet seems to be disgruntled ex-'s doing harm. In ten seconds, that can be copied hundreds of times.
many do it it won't be pro as in taking as even much porn rated as amateur have a couple of cameramen and cameras if not three look carefully next time you watch a so called amateur other than that experiment but make sure you trust one another 10000 % it's not nice if such films get out
also does anybody else do things like this? and if so have you got any tips on maybe making the tapes slightly better to watch, ie. better angles ect.
I've toyed with this . . . . briefly . . . in the past, but unless you just want to set the camera on a tripod and leave it there (which is pretty boring to watch) the technical aspects start to take the edge off of the sex in a big hurry. "Uh, yeah, ohh that feels so good . . . . uh, wait a minute I want to move the camera for a closer shot. Okay, now where were we?" Mmm, no thanks. lol
I am personally against it and so is my unofficial boyfriend. There is just too much of a chance that the video would get into the wrong hands.
I agree with Brandye. I wouldn't be surprised at all if these videos wound up on the internet right after you two break up...
Can anyone say YouTube? LOL
I think some people advise that as soon as you watch it... erase it... don't leave it lying around "by chance" that someone could swipe it or whatever.
I mean it could be not even your bf.... but like he's telling his buddies... yeah man we taped ourselves!! and his buddies are like.. .lemme see? and he's a gentleman and says NO WAY~ but then the next time his buddies are over... they know where he hides his porn and they pretend to go to the bathroom and steal the tape.... LOL
I know that scenerio is a stretch.. but hey I am sure it's happened to someone lol.
I "kinda" did it once... but I was paranoid and erased everything immediatly after and never did it again. lol
A very bad idea. Please do not do it.

well i no that wouldn't ever happen because i'm in charge of the tapes and i dont tell anybody where i hide them, he doesn't even no just to be on the safe side.
Never put anything into a video or photo that you would not want the rest of the world see. If there is a picture, photo, movie, tape, they do get duplicated and passed around all too often. Hide them all you want, guaranteed if someone was inclined they would find them. Erase them? I'd burn them.
well no body noes about them appart from me and my boyfriend and even if anybody did find out they'd never find them, trust me
Imagination and memory = Way better than tape.
Lustforlove - think about if something were to happen to you. Your family would be overjoyed, I'm sure, to find such images.
but it wont be found so it doesn't matter
The only certain way for something not to be found? It does not exist. Seen this happen all to often, find it hard to believe you are different. One guy posted on here once, he was cleaning out boxes in the house, found a tape of his current wife with her first husband on their honeymoon! Surprise! And that was not even someone who turned angry with their partner! Think about married couples, who expects a divorce and the"tapes" which were hidden/concealed to be aired? Guaranteed--NONE!!! Never say never. You don't put anything on tape or pictures you would not want the whole world to see.
i'm in charge of them though so f me and my boyfriend split i can erase them honestly nobody can find them and nobody can find out i have them i'm not going to tell anyone and my boyfriend would me mortifyed if anyone found out so he wont be telling anyone, it is safe
I hope he know where they are and if you wound up in a hospital he will destroy them for you. Never erase them. Burn them! Imagine, erasing them, taping over it and half way through a tape of your birthday a piece is still on there...in your b-day suit! If you split...burn them ASAP!
ok i'll burn them then either way if we split i will destroy them
well, in this age we have digital recorders, so it is easier to just delete stuff with no evidence of it.
that being said, it is also easier to just stick a chip in the camera, and make a copy in a few seconds without anyone knowing about it.
no one even knows i have this camera other that my boyfriend so all will be fine
at the end of the day it's your choice just think before you do things
I don't think it's particularly weird, though I would worry about it for exactly the same reasons already mentioned. Though, I guess I wouldn't be quite as quick to say "No!" as some are. Obviously, there's a major issue of trust, and trust is often (though I hope not always!) misplaced. I suppose one way to look at it is: if you're getting into something dangerous where there's a significant element of trust required, try to be the one who's getting trusted, rather than the one who's doing the trusting. That is: you keep the single original in your sight at all times, and you keep it a single original.
That doesn't totally eliminate any danger of disclosure whatsoever: there's the possibility of mistakes and unpredictable nefariousness. Just such a thing forms a darkly comic sub-plot point in "Trainspotting." Maybe it's a Scottish thing (which would explain why Brandye is so spooked)? It's safe to say that anyone who does the same stupid thing that a character did in a major motion picture is ripe for mockery.
And I wouldn't exactly say that celebrities do it all the time. At various times over the past decade or so, thousands (or maybe tens of thousands) of people have been "celebrities" of some sort, and a few dozen have got more "exposed" than they meant to be. If anything, I'd figure celebrities would be a lot more cautious, since their tapes could be worth lots and lots of money, while the typical person's might be worth five dollars and change.
I guess Nizeguy you have never been through a bitter divorce? No one has ever taken one of me either and NEVER will. Trust a husband yes you should but even the best intended individuals do horrible things--seen the outcome too many times.
look at it this way
if you put them there, someone else can get them. NOTHING is unfindable.
From reading through this thread, I guess I should know what kind of answers I will get, but I'll give you all the benefit of a doubt :D
Considering making sex tapes with my wife and want to do some research first. Like, when would you start making scripts (as opposed to just leaving the cam on a stand and shoot it all from the same angle) and maybe examples of scripts. Where should I be looking?
My wife and I don't always agree, but I'm not the kind of guy who would spread any pornography featuring myself or anyone I know. As an added bonus, our camera uses 8mm tapes and I don't know how to digitize anything that's recorded. So please try to be serious and positive about this :)

I have a hard drive full of, ahem... content to prove that you may be one of very very few. I also had some photos of an ex, but I deleted them and would certainly not share them

I may be weird, but with me what's private is private. Thinking about it, I think I have almost everyone on a need-to-know basis regarding my personal life :D
Putting aside the danger of captured material being (un)intentionally distributed for a moment. Just out of curiosity, could I ask;
What is it that draws people to video-taping their sex?
Is it like capturing a memory? For the same reason people make home-video's?
Or is to gather personal material to get off on at a later time? And I don't mean this in a negative way. I regularly masturbate to my memories, though recorded in my mind :)
Is it a way of role-play, by making screenplays and all?
Or is it the fascination for the camera itself? Flirting-with-the-camera type of thing?
Couldn't taping sex also create the opposite effect of becoming far too conscious about the way things sound and look, instead of how it feels? Or have an unpleasant after-effect of becoming far too conscious after viewing it? Just like people sometimes are very disturbed to realize: "really, do I sound like that?!" after a simple tape-recording.
Or is it more like wanting to know what you look like when you have sex? Creating a new perspective you'd never get to see without camera. Like a sort of curiosity? I can imagine that. Once upon a time I told my former lover I wanted to know what my vagina looked like with him inside me. It's just a certain curiosity about my body, in the same way that I've at times been staring in fascination at my hands how they move and how far fingers and wrists bend, even making sketches of it, etc. He suggested we'd tape it or get me a mirror next time we'd have sex in daylight, so that I could see it (never got to it after, btw). I liked the idea of a mirror better than the idea of taping, because it was more like something I wanted to see while feeling it in the moment, not so much scrutinize it afterwards.
For me, I guess it's:
*) to have material to jack off to when she's away (or watch together)
*) a role-play thing
*) an idea that, for some reason, turns me on and which I want to explore
