Have you ever given or received a love letter? How did it make you feel? Would you do it again? Any interesting stories about love letters?

I did this once for my then-girlfriend and thought it was really a good experience for both of us. I enjoyed writing it because it really let me express to her what I felt. I'm not so good with verbal communication on the spur of the moment, but writing my thoughts down really lets me convey what I mean and what I feel.

I hid it inside a gift I gave her and she thought it was so sweet. It was an ego boost for both of us and added to the affection in the relationship.

We're broken up now but I still have a scan of the letter, and it's one of my favorite things to read, even though I know think I wrote all this cheesy and naive stuff. ;)
