Even to the extent she holds that all guys do the same.  With time and experience you'll have a better undersanding of what goes on.  Right now your understand leads you to a view like the trick mirrors... of the amusement parks.  It doesn't give a realistic picture.

cuts the guys out of answering.  Some will look at the super models and find anything but one for a mate.  No all of them though as some will get the trophy girlfriend.

What makes the connection for a guy and girl has been an endless debate for women concerning men.  There is an old saying of men, "A stiff cock has no conscience".   It is sort of an "Aim high, but take what you can get" mindset with men.  But then don't some girls sort of do the same thing when they catagorize guys into Wensday night dates, Friday nite dates, or Saturday nite dates?  Then try to stack them up in order of desirability for standby's so if one cancels on her she can still call a backup b/f and tell him he's the lucky guy tonite...she's suddenly available?

In real life there is what you would love to have....and what you can have.  Fantasy may be the only avenue to getting what you would love to have.

Interesting thread and a very good question too. I've always wondered the same thing. I'll take any woman whether she is perfect looking or not. I'm attractive (my face is anyway) but my body is no stud muscular.

The reason I think that guys have trouble finding perfect women is that most of them are already taken and maybe there is hardily any perfect women town. That's why the "not so perfect" women are easy to find around your area.

If people are tired of seeing porn with women that has perfect bodies, there are tons of homemade/amature porn on the internet. I like to jerk off to "not so perfect" women". They make me hornier than the perfect women, no joke.

Victory hog, I tend to agree with what you said.  Just remember that "beauty" is subjective.  VERY! lol  It's definition is also changeable.  Take a glance at the original issues of Playboy or some such magazine.   Heck, look at Marilyn Monroe... or Mae West.  Marilyn wasn't exactly a skinny girl.  Neither was Mae West (not to mention, she wasn't even a particularly young woman).  

It really wasn't until the late 1960's that the idea of thin (emaciatedly thin) women became popular.  In fact, in most of the rest of the world, men tend to like a larger woman.  It's a societal thing... and it CAN be changed if the people involved really want it changed.

I totally agree! Although most men I know are very visually-oriented (and therefore sometimes aroused by perfect bodies even if the accompanying personality is lacking), almost all of them would prefer a woman with less-than-perfect looks but who is fun-loving, adventurous, and comfortable with her own body and sexuality. I'll take confidence, wit and charm over big boobs anyday!

I'll take a woman with a few physical "defects" any day if she's comfortable with her body (and what it's capable of.) I think one of the attractions of "posed" photos is just that. Hey there have always been and probably alway will be those who "follow the crowd".  But then there are always (I hope) going to be those of us- - who want to be as different from the crowd as possible.

As far as what you look like and what is attractive to someone else- that is totally subjective.  A friend of mine who at the time was in his late fifties was with a guy in his twenties and really liked the guy, but the twenty year old finally decided my friend just wasn't "old enough".  Oh and the twenty yr old was built like a Greek god.  So you see, there are people from all catagories that like people in all other catagories.

Your question begs a bigger issue in my opinion, and that is overall body images being disseminated.

I don't think ANYONE would disagree that porn is a different kind of category when it comes to visual images and subject matter. Its about beautiful people with near perfect bodies, big cocks, nice tits, ass, yada, yada.

But, on the everyday media, we see almost the same thing just without the fully nude or explicit images.

From daytime television to reality TV to sit coms, that VAST majority of images we see are of the "so called" beautiful people. Hell, there's now reality shows called THE SWAN and I WANT TO LOOK LIKE A CELEBRITY, where it's all about cosmetic surgery.

I don't mean to get on a rant here, but i'd be much more concenred about folks wanting to go thru radical surgery to look like a celebrity then what a guy jacks off too for porn.

ps: i belive anyone can change their image (inside and out) if they choose to - and it dosn't require surgery - just some self dicipline and a wilingness to change. For example, QueerEye for the Str8 guy is about taking a person and giving them new skills and direction to help them improve things IMMEDIATLY and also things that will require daily dicipline to maintain. If you're overweight, diet and excercise will, in 99% of the cases, help a person's weight and health. Quitting smoking, rearranging your home/apt, throwing out old clothes, getting a new look are all TANGIBLE things people can do to improve their lives! Thoughts?

because it's a FANTASY.  everyone has them.  guys have them, girls have them.  guys dream about big breasted perfect women.  women dream about well toned muscular guys.  but that doesn't mean we don't find "normal" people attractive.
guys in porn certainly don't look like my guy...but does that make him any less beautiful?  no.  i would take him any day over some guy in a porn.  i've always found him attractive, physical wise...but that's not what attracted me to him.  as archer said, sometimes you have to look deeper.
