I have a question... guys masturbate and fantasize about perfect looking..big breasted...no cellulite...skinny legs..etc...looking girls..but date regular, average looking..less than perfect looking girls.I dont understand how that makes sense. is it becuz u guys cant get any better..(Liike the girls in playboy for example) or what? obviously not all guys go for big boobs, skinny legs..etc..but jsut in general...you would never masturbate toa girl with cellulite on her butt...would you? NO..so how does it make sense that you tell your gf she;s beautiful and u desire her etc..I jsut cant get this into my head......

looks

Absolutely Oberon. Gota love Bill Maher. I've seen women who were drop dead beauties in high school reduced to alcoholism and depression before their kids were ten by handsome successful Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Engineers, etc....all who had simply tired of them. Was it her personality they tired of? Her looks? Her sexuality wasn't keeping with his? Or was he just a trophy collector of women, and she hadn't realized it by being so focused on having a highroller ready to say "I do".
I recall my mom's little placque she had hanging over the kitchen sink. She claimed it cut thru all the conventions of looks, personality, sexuality, wealth, power, and prestige
in the union of a man and woman. It had these words:
It Starts When You Sink In His Arms.......And Ends With Your Arms In The Sink
eDJ
LOL... eDJ. For some reason your post made me think of this... and I apologize in advance for the remark...
Bill Maher- political comedian and talk show host- says,
"Show me the most beautiful woman in the world and I'll show you some guy who's tired of f@#king her."
To speak to Jackie234's confusion, there are some assumptions she makes in what she sees guys as doing, and then what guys really do. Even to the extent she holds that all guys do the same. With time and experience you'll have a better undersanding of what goes on. Right now your understand leads you to a view like the trick mirrors... of the amusement parks. It doesn't give a realistic picture.
To ask "Would you"? and answer NO....to the question sort of
cuts the guys out of answering. Some will look at the super models and find anything but one for a mate. No all of them though as some will get the trophy girlfriend.
What makes the connection for a guy and girl has been an endless debate for women concerning men. There is an old saying of men, "A stiff cock has no conscience". It is sort of an "Aim high, but take what you can get" mindset with men. But then don't some girls sort of do the same thing when they catagorize guys into Wensday night dates, Friday nite dates, or Saturday nite dates? Then try to stack them up in order of desirability for standby's so if one cancels on her she can still call a backup b/f and tell him he's the lucky guy tonite...she's suddenly available?
In real life there is what you would love to have....and what you can have. Fantasy may be the only avenue to getting what you would love to have.
On the porn magazines, there are all kinds. Ranging from Playboy with the cheerleader types, to raunchy magazines like Hustler with streetwalking prostitute types. Some very successful, handsome men who have beautiful wives fantasize
the girls of Hustler. Look at the Romance Novels for women
and the fantasy written for them, is it not the same?

Interesting thread and a very good question too. I've always wondered the same thing. I'll take any woman whether she is perfect looking or not. I'm attractive (my face is anyway) but my body is no stud muscular.
The reason I think that guys have trouble finding perfect women is that most of them are already taken and maybe there is hardily any perfect women town. That's why the "not so perfect" women are easy to find around your area.
If people are tired of seeing porn with women that has perfect bodies, there are tons of homemade/amature porn on the internet. I like to jerk off to "not so perfect" women". They make me hornier than the perfect women, no joke.
Victory hog, I tend to agree with what you said. Just remember that "beauty" is subjective. VERY! lol It's definition is also changeable. Take a glance at the original issues of Playboy or some such magazine. Heck, look at Marilyn Monroe... or Mae West. Marilyn wasn't exactly a skinny girl. Neither was Mae West (not to mention, she wasn't even a particularly young woman).
It really wasn't until the late 1960's that the idea of thin (emaciatedly thin) women became popular. In fact, in most of the rest of the world, men tend to like a larger woman. It's a societal thing... and it CAN be changed if the people involved really want it changed.
err I'm quite offended by this post, its disgusting to think any man would have a relationship wth a girl, and vice versa, or even marry a girl only for looks. if all we are to men are sex objects and trophies to flaunt- then by all means, jack off by urself for eternity, coz without us, you are nothing.
Too bad guys, mags like playboy or hustler are to bring u guys over the edge and only that, fat cahnce of scoring any girl who is "perfect," what does perfect even mean, whos to say the most beautiful girls are the ones with hairless legs or fullest breasts? Wake up please.
Half the population of women spit on the stereotypes of conforming to skinny legged models, and love themselves for who they are, the most beautiful women aren't the botoxed plastic barbie bimboes who know jack sh*t about life, its the ones who can thank god they aren't like that and lead a happy life again with a man who thinks the same way.
So in context with ur question, how can a man say shes beautiful compared with a plastic model? Because she is and that's all there is to it.
For me it's not so much about the perfect body, if you will. It's about "how it's worn."
I totally agree! Although most men I know are very visually-oriented (and therefore sometimes aroused by perfect bodies even if the accompanying personality is lacking), almost all of them would prefer a woman with less-than-perfect looks but who is fun-loving, adventurous, and comfortable with her own body and sexuality. I'll take confidence, wit and charm over big boobs anyday!

The attraction comes when you can feel comfortable with each other & have the same interests & desires & want to please each other & be available when needed. Have you ever heard of the appeal of "the girl next door?"
An interesting thread...
I consider myself quite visual. For me it's not so much about the perfect body, if you will. It's about "how it's worn."
I'll take a woman with a few physical "defects" any day if she's comfortable with her body (and what it's capable of.) I think one of the attractions of "posed" photos is just that. It's not that the woman is physically perfect, it's that she's willing to display her wares... and if she can capture "the look" that says...
Woohoo!
The fantasy is not the perfect body. It's about what's going to happen with it. (Don't get me started. LOL)
Conversely, a woman who goes on with things like "I'm fat... boobs are too small..." can get old fast.
I happen to believe that the best partners (sexual and otherwise) are people who are comfortable with themselves and have at least some confidence.
Okay, let me get started. LOL To be graphic: You're boobs may not be perfect, but if you wear a low cut blouse... I'm gonna look. And if you give me "the look," I'm gonna do more...
But it will be because you've "got the moves" not because you've got the looks and I can see the, um, potential.
Well...some guys do dream of fantasy girls. BUt you might be suprised that some guys might actually be thinking of girls just like you. I know for the fact that my bf has fantasized about me before we got together and I ain't a super-model.
Hey there have always been and probably alway will be those who "follow the crowd". But then there are always (I hope) going to be those of us-
- who want to be as different from the crowd as possible.
As far as what you look like and what is attractive to someone else- that is totally subjective. A friend of mine who at the time was in his late fifties was with a guy in his twenties and really liked the guy, but the twenty year old finally decided my friend just wasn't "old enough". Oh and the twenty yr old was built like a Greek god. So you see, there are people from all catagories that like people in all other catagories.
Oh and Rawbob, I have seen ads for that "I want to look like a celebrity" show, and all I can think is: Yikes! That almost seems like stealing to "take on" someone else's looks.
Archer and TheTease are right on. Porn, by its very nature is the realm of fantasy, and the industry will give it's customers what they want.
Your question begs a bigger issue in my opinion, and that is overall body images being disseminated.
I don't think ANYONE would disagree that porn is a different kind of category when it comes to visual images and subject matter. Its about beautiful people with near perfect bodies, big cocks, nice tits, ass, yada, yada.
But, on the everyday media, we see almost the same thing just without the fully nude or explicit images.
From daytime television to reality TV to sit coms, that VAST majority of images we see are of the "so called" beautiful people. Hell, there's now reality shows called THE SWAN and I WANT TO LOOK LIKE A CELEBRITY, where it's all about cosmetic surgery.
I don't mean to get on a rant here, but i'd be much more concenred about folks wanting to go thru radical surgery to look like a celebrity then what a guy jacks off too for porn.
Anyone else care to chime in?
ps: i belive anyone can change their image (inside and out) if they choose to - and it dosn't require surgery - just some self dicipline and a wilingness to change. For example, QueerEye for the Str8 guy is about taking a person and giving them new skills and direction to help them improve things IMMEDIATLY and also things that will require daily dicipline to maintain. If you're overweight, diet and excercise will, in 99% of the cases, help a person's weight and health. Quitting smoking, rearranging your home/apt, throwing out old clothes, getting a new look are all TANGIBLE things people can do to improve their lives! Thoughts?
because it's a FANTASY. everyone has them. guys have them, girls have them. guys dream about big breasted perfect women. women dream about well toned muscular guys. but that doesn't mean we don't find "normal" people attractive.
guys in porn certainly don't look like my guy...but does that make him any less beautiful? no. i would take him any day over some guy in a porn. i've always found him attractive, physical wise...but that's not what attracted me to him. as archer said, sometimes you have to look deeper.
edit: i need to learn to read names. lol.
You sound pretty naive, there are guys who like fat women, its whatever takes your fancy, there are some really weird things that some guys and girls get off on.
im sure everyone of us arent all visual creatures. the perfect looking girl wif perfect everything might not be intellectually stimulating, give you the shits and not have any of hte same interests in you and treats you like shit, however hte average looking women who you pass everyday might have all the same interests as you, you find a connection with her, and you can talk for hours and hours to the wee hours of hte morning. im sure everyone looks for a balance between these two imaginary characters.
wen your whacking off you dont seem to think about the girl in teh magazine's personality. descriptions such as beautiful and etc might not always be directed to their physical apperance, it can be their emotional side, their personality!
have a look a little deeper next time!!!
