Looking good naked

Ok heres the skinny. I've decided to lose some weight. I figured if I'm gonna be hung like a flea I might as well look as good as possible. So does anyone have any tips? I need to lose about 50-60LBS and also I want to lose some fat from the pubic fat pad. Any advice helps.

Might try switching to a vegetarian diet and adding cross country running to your daily activity list.

If running is not your thing, perhaps cycling or swimming.

If you do go vegetarian (and I'd recommend it; you are forced to eat healthier) then make sure you consult some sort of dietary guide to make sure you're getting all the right kinds of nutrients.

if ure jus trying 2 lose some weight try sweating alot and make sure u run but remember a steady diet iz the best, never eat at random times set a tym for like 3 full meals a day that way ure matabalizm will catch on 2 a schedule and therfore wen u exercise ure body will kno how 2 respond crunches help 2... this iz kumn from an ex chubster lol... hope i helped

You beat me to it!

Also, you should actually get a bit larger with the weight loss if that's an issue for you. What I've noticed throughout my years(mostly spent in gyms/ on fields) is that if you only exercise to look good or be competitive at a sport, then at some point at or near the goal, the exercise stops. If the goal is simply to be healthy and likely live a longer, more energetic life, then maintaining good habits and schedules becomes less of a chore and more second nature so weight stays off.

I wouldn't go as far as converting to a vegetarian diet..there's other health problems associated with that, and if you decide to return to a regular diet, you generally tend to get sick. Why bother with that? It's as simple as stop eating crap, and watching your grams of fat and calorie intake.

There's 3,500 calories in 1 pound. So if you want to lose 1 pound of fat a week, you need to do activity that equals that - ie, lose 500 calories a day, 7 days a week (7 X 500 = 3,500).

My wife and I recently bought an elliptical. I would DEFINITELY recommend one for weight lose. There are various resistances and programs on it that keep track of how many calories you lose,..plus it's right in front of the TV so the time on it flies.

But whatever exercise you do, you have to exert yourself!

There is only one way to lose weight: consume fewer calories than you burn. Period.

You can do this by reducing caloric intake (diet) or increasing caloric burn (exercise). A combination is best. I am not a fan of drastic diets. On the low carb diet, for instance, people lose in the short term but a year later weigh more than at the beginning.

I have a patient who lost thirty pounds in her first month (she wants to lose 100) by replacing all fizzy drinks with diet and elimination salty, crispy snacks. That was all she did. Now she is getting serious about healthy food and exercise.

Sugar and fat can be cut by half in almost everyone's daily diet with little effort. The next trick is portion control: eat slowly. It takes twenty minutes for the message to get from stomach to brain that it is full. The excess we consume in that time can make the difference between 1500 calories and 2500 calories intake.

To focus on the lower abdomen, either do lots of situps (start with ten, build to fifty and then reevaluate) or, better, use the abs machine at a local health club. Or join me most evenings - a minimum of 150 miles/week on my bike. If I do not do twenty-five miles in a day, I do not allow my supper to be accompanied by a pint.

Whatever you do, stick with it. Whilst nicotine was the damage of choice of the 20th century, obesity is the damage of choice in the 21st.

You may note that lick and I have said exactly the same thing in different words.

If what Lick and Brandeye say makes more sense to you, then go with that.

However, I'd like to clear up that switching to a vegetarian diet does not have to pose health risks. It is very possible to maintain a healthy diet as a vegetarian. You just have to be proactive in eating the right kinds of food everyday.

Read Dr. Phil (McGraw's) book and workbook on weight loss. He has a plan for changing your lifestyle so you do not need to "diet", over and over and over.
