My boyfriend and I use regular KY during sex, but it tends to ruin the mood having to re-apply it half-way through. Is there any long lasting lube that anyone can suggest?

Long lasting lube
Look up Astroglide. Also do a search on the net about the lubes...I was surprised what is out there.
"ID" lube won't go dry . . . . it's a silicone based lube and isn't sticky. However, you may or may not like the effect; it doesn't easily wipe off your hands. You really have to wash it with soap and water. It's also really expensive. It's great for anal, though.
Generally, the silicone based lubes last longer - and longer and longer ..... As Bear indicates, it is hard to get rid of.
The water based lubes, such as K-Y, are usually recommended because they are hypo-allergenic, are inexpensive and do not affect latex. A different approach to changing lubes is to use an applicator as is available with vaginal jellies and some insertable medications and put a full applicator in you vagina. This should last.
I prefer Astroglide to KY (personally), it seems to last longer for me. If you want something really long lasting, though, ID Millenium or ID Velvet are great silicone based lubes.
Astroglide tends to be the most recommended in this category.
I stay away from it because I have had some reactions to it (possible allergy) so liquid silk is for me.
