It would help me. I've had one LDR fail and am working on another now (almost 8 months).

I think that would be good. Nice place for those in, or those going to be in one to go for help.

i think it'll be good. i am not in one myself but don't know how my bfnd and i would cope if it were the case. it'll be nice to read on how people do it.

LDR's should at the least be a forum. I think its one of the most difficult things that could be in a relationship.

this is a huge resounding yes vote from me. So far the best threads that I've been involved in have been about LDR's. I think a forum of stricly LDR threads would be awesome.

I agree that a LDR forum is a good idea since it does have it's own unique challenges. I was in one for 10 months until we finally moved in together so I certainly can offer some advice.

*side note* Wally and Irresistible, you two are so cute and I am so happy for you both. Congrats on your first year! What an inspiration you are on how it can really work to fall in love and find happiness with someone online.

I think a LDR forum would be an excellent idea. It would help keep this forum up-to-date and current since online relationships are becoming more and more a viable option in meeting the opposite sex.

I do think Wally and Irresistable should be the moderators.
I do hope the moderators take note and listen and tap into this particular market for their site.

You two should write some articles or a book, you know I've told you that already. I just thought I would mention it again.

Its a "Long Distance Relationship"...just when you and your partner do not live close, and dont see eachother for long periods of time.

obviously, if its long distance, there is no physical contact. probably alot of phone sex eh?

For some people maybe. For me, there's none of that because frankly, she and I would both feel kind of ridiculous. Basically, you just don't have that physical aspect in your relationship. It sucks, for more reasons than just missing the sex. The LDR is all about trust, and a desire between the two of you to stay together even though you can't physically be together as often as you'd like to, in any sense.

By the way, my LDR nightmare is over in 37 days! Hell yes! Ten days after that, I leave for six weeks of Marine Officer training, or another LDR nightmare with less contact than we have now. Oh well, I can't wait for those ten days!

My BF and I are only long distance during the fall and spring, because he goes to a different college in a different state than I do. During our breaks, in the winter and summer, we are together. And we visit each other as often as we can in between, usually a couple times a month.

Basically, you have tons of sex when you are together, and when you are not, you make due with phone sex or webcams. That's how it works with us anyway.

Ditto to having a lot of sex to make up for time lost. We haven't yet graduated to the phone or webcams.

I think a LDR forum is a great idea! I'm not in one but I see the topic so many times I think it deserves its own forum.

Update:

I am finally under the 14 day mark! It's actually more like 12 now! I'm going crazy! If there's an upswing about LDR's, it definitely has to do with being so damn excited to see her again after so long! I know that when she get's home I'm going to be on Cloud 9! I'ved used far to many exclamation points in this post! I'm going to stop now! It's kind of addicting!
