My girlfriend's got a yeast infection (or so I assume it to be, she says it's itchy, uncomfortable, and produces a milky discharge, she doesn't notice any smell), which she says has been bothering her for a few days. Although she's rather uncomfortable, she insists she doesn't want to get some OTC medication or have it looked at... She says it'll clear up on its own. WILL it actually clear up on its own, and if so, would it be any faster if she made use of OTC meds?
Also, I kinda wonder why she's resisting the idea of doing something about it... Any ideas?

Yep.. Thanks.
Yeah, I've got a tendency to spring to overprotectiveness, and I know it. It's just a bit difficult to control. Thanks for the help, though.
Since your gf is only 14 she should go and see her doctor about this, self-diagnosis is not a good thing.
She's quite resistant to the idea. She's generally upset and crabby right now, and taking it out on me. I'm not sure how to help, since I can't really force her to do anything, and any attempt to try to get her to get it looked at only makes her madder.
When it gets bothersome enough, she will tell her mom or go to a doctor. It's not up to you to hound her about it (perhaps her cause of annoyance), it's her body and she has to take care of it. Only a doctor can differentiate between a bacterial vaginitis or vaginitis which is caused by a yeast.
That's about what I figured. It bothers me some that she's expressed the intention to wait a month before getting it looked at, though.
She will tell a parent when it gets too itchy. It's not up to you to get too involved, all you can do is encourage her to tell her parents.
