Ok. So heres the deal. Sometimes I have a problem with smelling bad in my vaginal area. I've made sure I keep myself clean and I saw my docter he said there was nothing wrong and i'm clean. I notice that it corrilates with my menstrual cycle. But somtimes it doesnt and its real bad. i do take birth control and sometimes i take medications but i dont think thats it. I think i heard that it could be things that you eat but im just not sure.
Anyways, i was just wondering if anybody could enlighten me on what other possiable reasons I could be having this problem and if you have any suggestions that would help?
Don't worry about it! Although I don't have a solution for you, I can tell you you aren't the only one!
If you eat very spicy foods ie: garlic they can change the scent; additioanlly, certain soaps can do the same...try washing with a mild soap such as Ivory. Medications and various times in your cycle will impact the scent. The most significant I have heard complaints about are mainly meds, such as Penicillin & Amoxicillin.
Does anybody know if there are such things as vaginal deodorants? (Please excuse my ignorance on this, I'm a mere male.)
The only item I have heard of is "FDS"--Femine Deodorant Spray...
Honey, we all smell bad. It varies with our cycle and with other life activities. The solution to stay clean. Complete washing at least twice a day. I love bidets. Too bad they are disappearing in modern life.
yeh, there are deoderant powders, washes etc, they sell them in the supermarkets, try that if you're really self-conscious

i don't know about deodorants. i've heard from medical people that they are not a safe product to use. can cause burning, rash, itching. i wouldn't go near any vaginal deodorants.
i have heard that diet can help. i'm trying to find out what at the moment. i can guess if you cut down on spicy, fatty, caffeine, yeast, meat it might help. if that is true i certainly won't cut back forever, but for the sake of my boyfriend maybe now and again.
my boy has told me that previous girlfriends have had either very little scent of a rather citrus taste! either they were fruitarians or used deodorants. i don't know.
