Ok, my boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 and a half years and Thursday we finally had sex for the first time. We went slow, he did everything I had asked him, we used a condom and the KY lube. Felt the normal bit of pain from never experienced more than fingering, but after awhile it just became a dull pain so I was fine. Bled a little bit but was fine afterwards. Up until today I experienced a bit of light bleeding on one or two days, and today it was a bit heavier, like the first day of having my period. I am on the pill, have been for a few months now, and my period is not due until the beginning of next week.
My question is- is this normal to experience? I'm a little worried that it might be, I heard it was normal but I just wanted to be sure, since I'm new to the whole sex act. If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it

light bleeding after sex- normal?

If it was your first time the blood could just be where your hymen had brocked or if your boyfriend's penis hit your cervix i here sometime that can make you bleed, but i think it is perfectly normal.
Any chance you're still in the adjustment period for the pill and your cycle just hasn't quite normalized yet? I got an IUD in March and my start date is still not as utterly predictable as it used to be. Plus I've heard that whatever regimen you're on, there is always the chance for a little unexpected bleeding once in a while. Brandye and Sera can address that better than I though.
