Young women are notoriously irregular with their periods. Most become more regular over time.
The primary "cause" of a late period is pregnancy. At that point it is too late for Plan B and it is time to use a home pregnancy test (get 2 of different brands) and start making decisions regarding a pregnancy. It really depends upon how regular she usually is as to how worried you should be and how soon. If she is always within three days, a week should grab your attention.
Can I get some more answers to every single question I asked because I really need to know. Also, how does sex on a late period sound? Good or bad?

Many reasons 1-young women are erratic and can have normally unpredictable cycles since their bodies are not in a cycle yet. Other reasons? 2-Pregnancy.

It can be just 1-late/irregular or 2-it can be pregnancy.

1-If she normally has a regular cycle? I would be concerned if she was about 3 days late and definitely at 1 week but a pregnancy test should provide you with an answer. 2-If she is normaly irregular? Tough to tell but do a home preg test about 2 weeks after the last time you had sex or see a doctor. [/quote]

Sex at this time shouldn't matter... it's like any other time if you are using protection.
I once was a week late...was freaking out and stress can cause it to be later... so I took a pregnancy test.. and it was negative.. but it didn't make me feel better... so it continued to be late.... by like day 10 I am REALLY freaking out.. took another test and it was negative as well.
Finally like by day 12 I had my period!
DUring this time w/ the scare and all... have sex was the last thing on my mind and even after my period I was hesitant to have sex right away.... I got out of the fire unscathed... why jump right back in.. you know???
My wife is currently late, seems to be btw 5 and 8 days late (I am a guy so not good at tracking these things).
Considering that our second child is only 4 months and we do/did not intend on having another (we have used protection/b.c) I do not feel very frisky with regards to sex at this point.......she is like, oh well whether it is or is not we can not change it!:eek:
Me, i am hoping this is a case similar to dbc, but we wait and see!!

Plus, I never figured out why mine did that... It wasn't a particularly stressful time, ie... no major family crisis, school was fine, no big tests... I guess it just decided to get all whacky on me.
