KY Mine and Yours

Personal lubricants are not all the same.
A. there are oil-based
B. water-based
C. silicone based
Personally, I do not like KY as it is too thick and dries rapidly. Use water- based products. These can dry rapidly, also, but are more easily revitalized with saliva or water, or simply adding more lube.
There are several brands available in supermarkets, pharmacies, and adult stores. Not all are available everywhere. Try different brands and models to learn what works best for you and yours.
Vaseline is a no-no.
Here are some recipes for home made lubes:
I have never used it personally. I think what’s special about it is when you mix the “him” and “hers” it creates a warming effect. It is just what I heard, I might be wrong.
Water based personal lubricants, the old standbys K-Y and Surgilube, can be used with everyone in any situation.
Silicone will not cause reactions in most people but rub some on your hands and try to wash it off. Many oils will cause problems with condom degradation and can also cause allergin reactions in some people.
Anything that adds flavor, smell, heat or tingling will cause some discomfort in some womenj. You do not know who or exactly what but those are chemicals going onto (into) some very tender tissues.
The two combined are supposed to have some effect. Personally, I don't like KY very much. I really prefer Astroglide or OTC Super Lube more.
I don't like KY either. Its too thick and doesn't really lubricate all that well. I've never seen Astroglide, perhaps its not available here in Australia. There is a product here called Wet Stuff, which is quite good.
I sometimes have trouble getting Astroglide off afterwards, but otherwise I like it.
I like silicone for anal because it doesn't dry out and you don't need much, but here's A SAFETY TIP, which I found out the hard way - DON'T USE IT IN THE SHOWER. If you get it on the shower or tub floor it will be slippery as hell and DOESN'T wash off with just soap and water. You gotta scrub it with a cleaning compound to get rid of it. Very dangerous.
I like the Durex one. It's not the best ever, but it's easily available at supermarkets and pharmacies, and it's a great consistency.
Oh, DVD, that does NOT sound fun!
Mine and Yours are basically a repackage of the KY Tingling and KY Warming personal lubricants. Hers(Mine) is Tingling, and Yours(His) is warming. Together they.....

didn't really do anything besides what they'd already done. Personally I find the sensation a little irritating, especially for longer periods of intercourse. Recommended best use: keep at least 1 party in the dark about the contents and hope for a placebo effect.
i used some of the warming sensations one time while masturbating and after w while it felt to hot and caused major discomfort for about an hour
I also don't really like KY lubes. As others have said, they are too thick and don't last long enough. They tend to dry out really quickly. However, they are cheap which is one good thing about them so if you can't afford a more expensive lube, KY is better than nothing.
Dont ever get ky on anything but your penis...my friend thought her pudenda (correct term?) was on fire, and I thought someone was holding a lighter to my balls :( Worst night ever.
I have used various lubes before and the ones i like are the Durex Pleasure lubes. You can get a minty one that tingles on both male and female parts and another that warms as you go.
If its for oral, women may prefer using the cherry one, i do personally as it has an awesome taste. Just like licking a lollipop!! lol
my favorite lube is http://www.holisticwisdom.com/system-jo-h20-lubricants.htm - that way if I'm jacking him off and feel like giving a lick I don't have to worry about the taste!
dont like KY its to thick dries to fast and leaves a sticky feeling Likes Astroglide and ID lubes is good also :)
it's awesome!!! Seriously, so warm when you combine the two. I could feel every inch in an heightened way.

LOL. your supposed to use them together. The yours and mine interact to create some sort up super awesome pleasure. i've never used it but that's the story with the stuff. it kind of defeats the purpose if you're using them alone.
i persoannly dont like ky becasue of its taste..i tend to like to go from intercourse to oral and back and forth however the "mine and yours" has had a profound effect on my boyfriends an my sex life. WEve used it twice and both agree its good for a much bigger orgasm. It only works that way togather though. My personal fave is called "fruity booty anal lube" it works well with both holes and its nots stringy and thick. It feels water based, and ittastes good too.
This lube didn't help me & my boyfriend at all, it actually made him lose his erection. I don't recommend it.
There are many different kinds of lubes with different textures and even tastes. Many are essentially the same though, and it sounds like that is the situation discovered. I would say try many kinds of lubes until you find the perfect one.
My fiance and I used this combo and like most other KY products it did nothing for me. I only noticed a very slight increase in heat and she didn't feel a thing.
Using any kind of lubricant that has some sort of special effect is always a roll of the dice in my experience. Like all things in sex it is different for everyone. So there is always a small risk of money being wasted on something like that. BUT, I think any time a couple tries something new, regardless if it works or not, it's fun.
Hmm Ive never used lube so I dont really know
Regular KY lube is good for anal because it is so thick. At least that's my opinion. Honestly though, I think I'd prefer the lubes with benzocaine in it if I ever tried them because anal sex is often too painful for me. But if you use a lube with benzocaine in it, make sure the male partner uses a condom and that you put the benzocaine lube on the outside of the condom or else it'll desensitize him as well.
My wife and I have used the "His & Hers" and its was nice but can't say it was thee mind blowing experience as depicted on the commercial. Our favorite would be "Pleasures". There a warming and flavored lub sold at any Lions Den adult store.

Not sure if you'll see this, but STOP DESENSITIZING BEFORE ANAL!! When it hurts, it means you're DOING IT WRONG. You NEED to hurt so that you can tell when you're damaging your body.
Desensitizing your bum before anal is like putting makeup on skin cancer. You need to know it's there and deal with it.

ya, i found out about that too. ouch, I fell out of the shower. My wife came crashing though the door too see If was ok. I was laughing at myself but it could have been worse. Slippery stuff. Crazy. Works wonders though for massaging, and anal tough. I fully agree. I bought the garman stuff, Pjur. Really good stuff. Only need a couple drops, and when it starts using up, just add a little water and there ya go, no need to add more.
I use a combination of KY and vaseline: vaseline on my anus and inside my rectum and KY on the sex toy I am using. Works pretty good as long as I do not use condums.

Try the KY tingling and or the warming on his penis. That way you change the texture temperature. There are also flavored jellies for sex.:D Also when he is really lubed up, slip a finger or two into his anus. I venture to say he will definately not go soft after that!!

I tried the desensitising stuf before and got a small tear in my anus that bled like a stuck pig. Scared me to death!! Between me and my Doctor we decided the desensitizing stuff was forbidded in anal play.
Personally I use vaseline inside my anus and rectum and Astroglide on the outside and on my penis. I tried the tingling and warming jels but I am allergic to them so be careful and test a small part of your skin to see if you have a reaction. As long as I am not using condumns with my sex toys vaseline works fine. I have even made a 1/2 and 1/2 mix of vaseline and KY jelly which works pretty good as far as hold ing heat when I warm it up.
Does it have to be with out a condom to work?
This your and mine burned and we had to wash it off right away. Wife was so mad and went on a letter writting to get the money back for it.
Astroglide works well but don't ever get it in your mouth by accident worst tasting thing ever. I use the Duane Reade lube its compare to KY but its better in my opinion
My boyfriend and I didn't like this lube at all. It kinda burns! When we use the regular KY lube it burns me as well. So we tried this other KY lube and it also burned me...why is this happening? When we use a condom that is already lubercated it doesn't burn me at all! What could be going on with the lubes we tried?
The plain K-Y is a water based lube to which virtually no one has an adverse reaction. We recommend that people stay away from the smells, flavors, colors, warmers and all the stuff that is not directed at lubricating or contracepting.
If the K-Y is burning, I suspect that you are not using enough. A full aplicator inserted with a bit more around the entrance should be sufficient. The applicator I refer to is what comes with the "starter kit" for K-Y+ or Gynol II. Those are spermicidal but the applicators fit the plain lube tubes.
I will try applying more of the regular KY. The other one KY is for vaginal dryness. I bought it after I read around the forum for the pain I get when my boyfriend enters me. This KY is also water based. When I used this it burned a lot! It says it can even be used for daily use to control dryness.
I cannot tell which is the regular and which is the other. Too bad that K-Y is the brand on so many variations.
K-Y lubricant is a water based lubricant similar to Surgi-Lube. It is used for lubrication in doctor's offices and for "personal" Lubrication. It can be used safely with all condoms.
K-Y+ is essentially the same plus spermicide. It is a lubricating vaginal spermicide with the related purposes of personal lubrication and chemical birth control.
The rest of their stuff has other ingredients - aloe, vitamin E, warming agents. All of these are subject to causing uncomfortable reaction. Stick with the vaginal jelly or personal lubricant.
As we age, vaginal dryness becomes a problem for many women. Consult with your gyn at your next annual exam and follow her recommendations.
My hubby and I tried it about a month ago and thought it was a complete waste of money. I usually buy my stuff online at holistic wisdom, but was at Target and it was kind of an impulse buy. That place has a lube guide that's helpful. I personally like the warming ones, but that's just me.
I have used the KY yours and mine and i've had sex with lube but it usually burn her so when this came out, it felt amazing for her and it did feel better for me.
it works for some people and i guess it doesn't for others. try it out yourself and see how it feels.
never used lubes myself, always prefer the old fashioned oral lube that my oh so willingly provides
I personally use two lubes, silicone based called Pure Pleasure, and water based called Just Like Me in Strawberry flavor. The pure pleasure lasts longer and is for water play, the Just Like Me is for daily lubrication or for oral favors...Love them!

That was answered within the first few posts.
