First I have to second what Brandye wrote.
Second, what do you mean by kinky? Not dominatrixy? I know quite a few dominatrices - some specialize in movement restriction, some in pain, some in humiliation and I know one who simply manages to get people to obey her although she is pretty handy with rope, paddles, canes etc.
Please explore the site, but I feel I must address the subject of hot wax since you brought it up.
Hot wax can provoke pain and injury. It is not something that should be sprung on someone as a surprise. Not everyone enjoys the pain from candle wax-it can be quite intense, especially when being applied by a novice.
Since it usually is produced by a candle there is also a fire hazard. Keep the open flame away from flammable materials!
Generally avoid scented or colored waxes. Paraffin is sort of a standard, but again it can be pretty intense and even cause blisters. Harder, denser waxes have a higher melting temperature and therefore are hotter when poured on the skin. If you can make an indention in a wax with your thumbnail and it feels soft and the wax doesn't crack or shave off then that is usually a good sign that it will melt at a lower temp.
My three main suggestions regarding wax play:
1. Only do it with someone who really wants to play with wax. This is called consent.
2. It would be a good idea to make contact with your local BDSM group. They probably have workshops on wax play and least you could speak with someone in person who has experience with this.
3. Begin with soy wax. You can find soy wax candles in your local ( or online) sex shop and or massage supply. The temperature is considerably lower than that of regular wax ( easier for a first time waxee who is not a real masochist) and it stays soft longer which allows it to also be used as a hot massage oil. It can easily be washed off of skin or out of hair whereas regular wax presents quite a problem when it hardens on hairy skin. Any kind of wax, even soy wax, will leave a permanent stain on fabrics.
