I'm 37 years old. I started doing Kegels about 2 months ago after reading it would help me last longer. I was able to go 5-10 minutes.....but being a man, I got greedy and wanted to basically cum when ever I wanted, so I started doing the Kegels.
Lately I'm lucky if I last 1-2 minutes....I couldn't figure out what the heck is going on. Then yesterday I happen to read that overuse of Kegels can actually CAUSE PE!!! I read it in a few places and it has something to do with some chemical in the prostrate or something like that. Wish I would have read this 2 months ago...I wouldn't have done them at all!
I have STOPPED doing them!!!
How do I correct the problem I caused!!
Will simply stopping help me eventually get back to where I was? Also, I read that some herbs help "heal" the effects of over doing the Kegels....namely, evening primrose, damiana, american ginseng....know if these will help?
PLEASE answer this!

Kegels only strengthen the PC muscles, if you believe this has been the cause of PE, let the muscle go, stop exercising it and it should return to it's previous state by itself. I would use caution adding herbs or any medications since I do not see how they can changes any muscles strength. They are use to promote healthy function in male anatomy. I do not see how it can do anything for muscle stimulus.
Use caution with Ginseng. Damiana is supposed to heighten sexual desire, primrose oil to decrease inflammation, and Ginseng to restore homeostasis to the body. Also there are effects on the cardiovascular system and blood pressure secondary to ginseng use which has been documented.
I would just let the muscle return to normal, eat healthy and see how the outcome is. Consult your MD prior to taking any herbals due to medical conditions.
***Primrose Oil is used as a precursor to estrogen. A. Ginseng side effects do not use in patients w/hypoglycemia, high blood pressure, heart disorders, asthma, or insomnia. Damiana interferes with iron absorption when taken internally (orally). Source; Prescription for Nutritional Healing
Side note: Do not use ginseng if you have any history of glaucoma or increased intraocular pressure.
