Hello
I just really have a question im 22yrs old and my period don't come on like its suppose to it will skip months at a time and when it do come on it might stay on for like a month or so. I asked a doctor at school one time she told me to ask my doctor and im not going to be able to see her until december.
Thanx to whoever answer my question

Ummm...yea you should really try to get an appointment with your gyn asap. This is not in any way normal. I mean I have heard of people who are fine, and wind up skipping. But the fact that you will bleed for a month straight? thats just not right.
Exercise, diet, dietary supplements, lack of sleep, high stress in your life, changing sexual activity, change in birth control, any combination of these.
Your hormones are erratic and the cause needs to be determined. See your doc and why did the school doc blow you off?
Brandye I don't know why it was like she really didn't care
If you are not sexually active [and not at risking pregnancy], not "bleeding out"; she figures you are a typical teen/college student. December will work since it's nearly here--follow up and get checked as directed. Don't forget...any worsening symptoms go to an ER. It does not sound as if she perceived it's a medical emergency and requires a lengthy work up and detailed treatment plan.
