How to desensitize my penis?
[COLOR="blue">As for my progress, it's still painful/sensitive but I think I'm getting better. I noticed that my head of the penis becomes a lot more tolerant to touch when I air it out for a few minutes. When I roll back my foreskin and the head is still moist, it's sticky and hurts to touch. But once it's completely dry, it's easier to grab and touch (but not rub).

Thank you for the report. This is good to know, especially for people who are wanting to desensitize their Glans.

[COLOR="blue">In the shower, my exposed penis head can handle the water if it drips off my body. And it can handle pressure if the shower head is hooked on. But if I took the shower head and pointed it directly at my exposed penis head, it's too sensitive to handle. Right now, I let my penis head expose to hooked shower head for 20 seconds a day (one on the left, right, and middle).

This lack of tolerance is not unexpected. Keep on keeping on and working the process.

Another similar approach is to use a small Ziplock plastic bag or similar and cut an opening along the bottom of one side sufficient to permit your penis to pass.

Lubricate your penis and spread some inside the baggie {pseudo vagina). Wrap the plastic bag around your penis and then wrap a hand towel over the "pseudo vagina" in order to add bulk.

This arrangement is as close to feeling like the real thing as possible. Kneel on the bed and place the "pseudo vagina" with your penis inserted between two pillows. Stroke and thrust away......

1. It is not necessary to grip your hand really tight, except, perhaps, around the shaft.
2. An aroused vagina is not tight. As a woman becomes aroused, the inside of the vaginal vault enlarges.
3. Try using a lubricant on both the shaft and the glans and experiment with very light touching and caressing.
[COLOR="blue">
Hopefully, practicing this will get my penis head used to the pain.

There should be no reason to put up with a lot of pain. Discomfort? Yes, in small doses.

Some people can roll a condom on with the foreskin forward, others cannot. No big deal, just do what works for you.

[COLOR="blue">As for letting my penis head get used to clothing, I've tried it a couple of times. One day, I tried going to a place that took 10 minutes to get too. It took about 20-25 minutes when I walked there with my penis head touching my jeans (I put my penis through the boxer hole and let it touch my jeans). It was painful! And now at night, I try to walk from my computer to the kitchen dong the same thing. Hurts, but I'm getting used to it. Also, my foreskin tends to roll forward after a while, and that gets annoying.

I would not do it this way. Let your exposed glans contact the inside of your boxers or briefs. They are soft, and, will let your penis be exposed to the air, also. The material of your jeans is just to rough. You might be thinking this is a way to speed up the process of desensitization, but why make it any more unpleasant than it has to be?

How long and to the point are the same question. Figure on it taking a few months. It is not unlike how long it probably took for your foreskin to fully detach. Boys who were circumcised right after birth have had a dozen years of exposure and desensitization--not that it took this long. Men who have been circumcised as adults for medical or other reasons report that the process took a few months. So, don't try to rush the process, just keep working on it. When your foreskin rolls forward, just roll it back when it is convenient.

I hope this is of help. Got questions?

Thanks, I'll go to the sex shop in my city and buy one.

It is nice to see you back, it's been awhile. How have things been going for you regarding your previous two concerns that you wrote in about?
[COLOR="blue">My penis is uncircumsized, which means the head of my penis is EXTREMELY sensitive. If I roll back my foreskin, anything that touches the exposed head of my penis hurts a lot.

This is a very common situation among intact men. The degree of sensitivity or resulting discomfort does seem to vary among individuals. While the nerves in the glans are much more sensitive and reactive as a result of being covered than similar nerves in men who have no foreskin, some men are better able to tolerate touching the glans directly.

Here are some ideas to consider:

* When your foreskin does roll back, pause, pull out, roll it forward, and continue. Do not make a big deal about it, just incorporate the move into your other caresses.

* Wear a condom, something you should be doing if you are not in an exclusive relationship.

* You can start desensitizing your glans by exposing it for short periods of time throughout the day and letting your penis be exposed to the air and the material of your clothing. Eventually, although, not shortly, the nerves will become less sensitive. Whenever you cannot stand the discomfort, stop, roll the foreskin forward, and repeat after a short break.
[COLOR="blue">
So I want to know what are some techniques I can do to desensitize the pain? I've tried touching the penis head and it's starting to become less painful to touch. But rubbing it still hurts like crazy.

* Rather than deliberately rubbing your glans, try being more casual and less deliberate; in other words, don't be heavy handed.

* In addition to the above, continue to handle your glans frequently and with a light touch. Repeated exposure and handling will eventually calm the sensitive nerve endings--but, as noted, this takes lots of time.

* To help with this, you can go to the pharmacy and shop for a topical numbing spray or cream anesthetic product. Look or ask for products that have Lidocaine, Prilocaine, etc.

I also try to spray the exposed penis head when I take a shower, but it still hurts. I heard that dipping your penis inside a COLD cup of tea helps, because the ingredients inside the tea make the skin calloused.

True or not, who among us wants a calloused penis?

Don't be afraid to work with the nerves in your glans and understand that the process by whatever means is going to require a lot of time.

I hope this is of help. Got questions?
It is nice to see you back, it's been awhile. How have things been going for you regarding your previous two concerns that you wrote in about?
Thanks for the welcome back!

You guys were right about a woman putting my penis inside her when in missionary. But my sensitivity problem is a much larger issue, something that would affect me staying hard anyway.
Wear a condom, something you should be doing if you are not in an exclusive relationship.
Yep, I always wear a condom. Even then, it's still too sensitive and I stop getting hard once I start feeling pain.

I don't know if I can walk throughout the whole day exposing my glans, I think I'll have to wait until it desensitizes more before I start doing this.

I have tried pulling back the foreskin when I'm at home at night, and walking around my basement.

I've never heard of these chemicals. Is there any particular brand that you would know?

Thanks for your help! I get from your post that I will eventually be desensitized, but it's going to take a while. Hopefully, I will start seeing improvements a month from now.
2. An aroused vagina is not tight. As a woman becomes aroused, the inside of the vaginal vault enlarges.
I beg to differ; yes, any vagina enlarges when aroused. But that doesn't mean an aroused vagina is not "tight" or that walls can not be felt by a man. It's just less "tight" than it is without arousal (which may equal: hardly possible or impossible to enter). After various remarks on this forum, I've asked my bf whatever he feels when inside me. And he does feel walls and feels me "tightening". I can even feel it myself; when I put my finger inside (all the way up towards the cervix) and squeeze. Yes sir: that becomes one tiny tunnel! I always worry whether I'm hurting him while making love, especially after intense orgasm. Luckily so far I haven't, he likes it.

So, I'd say any man who perceives a vagina as "tight" could very well be right :) Such a shame it apparently could hurt, though... :(

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, Deity! I have no experience or knowledge in this area, but it seems like you're getting some good advice here. Hope you'll find a way.

Have you tried desensitizing condoms such as Trojan Extended Pleasure?

Like Dancing Doc was saying, I think this will take time. Appreciate your thanks!
Have you tried desensitizing condoms such as Trojan Extended Pleasure?
What does that do?

==============================

So it's been a little over a month since I posted this topic about desentiziing the head of my penis. So far, I've made a little progress but I still have a long way to go. Here what it is:

Touching/grabbing: No problems, hurts once in a while

Tapping: Hurts a bit

Rubbing: Still hurts a lot

Dancingdoc, you said it would take about three months to become fully desensitized. I think it may take longer for me. At my pace, it seems like it will take 5-6 months to become fully desensitized, or at least to the point where it's not an issue.

The only progress I've noticed is that letting my penis touch my clothes doesn't "paralyze" me like it used to. And I noticed I can lightly, lightly rub the left side of my penis extremely gently, and it won't hurt as much.

I think how fast you become desensitize depends on how often you let your exposed penis touch your underwear or the shower head. If I did it everyday, then it would help me more.

So my temporary solution the next time I have sex is rolling my foreskin forward and using a lot of lube.

Will report back once I reach another milestone!

Desensitizing condom info

All forms of condoms add an insulation barrier that desensitizes us. Those with a dab of special jel inside help numb the glans.

I'm happy to learn that progress is being made. Have you tried using a lubricant on the glans and then handling it? Might be better than dry skin.

> Dancingdoc, you said it would take about three months to become fully desensitized.

I may have, however, I cannot find that statement. I did state several times: Figure on it taking a few months, and, words to that affect.

> I think how fast you become desensitize depends on how often you let your exposed penis touch your underwear or the shower head. If I did it everyday, then it would help me more.

Correct.

Wow, it looks the work I've been doing isn't working at all.

I tried to have sex with two different girls last week. I had a hard time getting an erection because my foreskin would roll back and the still very sensitive head of my penis would be explode. And it would hurt.

When I put on a condom, I tried rolling the foreskin forward. But everytime I had intercourse, the foreskin would roll back and it would hurt to thrust. Then I'd get small again.

Even getting a blowjob from both women hurt a lot.

It makes me sad because I can be fully enjoying oral sex and awesome sexual intercourse, but I cannot because of this problem.

I think what I'm going to do is see my family doctor and hopefully get some help with this.

And if not, it looks the only way is get circumsized.

Good idea. Please keep in mind, however, that once the foreskin has been removed, your new "life" will not be instantaneous. It will take a few months for your exposed skin be become desensitized, so just hang in there while the process takes place.
