What is wrong with being gay?

Ok so I am at a bookstore the other day looking at calendars to buy. Found a calendar that well...portrays men in various naked poses.. So I take it up to the cashier, thinking I should take it to the female as she may be alittle more comfortable checking this one out. She gave me the rudest look! I mean please! I figured she would at least be able to see where I was coming from, you know, her being a woman and all. Am I wrong to think this? Do I need to just start ordering stuff online in order to not offend people? Anyone else have something like this happen?

Bigots come in all shapes and sizes including female, human bodies. She has the problem; you do not. Pay the lady, thank her for the service and walk away. Let her steep in her own narrow-minded hatred. You are free and she is captured there for her whole life.

Geez, I get looks from cashiers at Wal-Mart when I buy lube for god sake. There are still a lot of close minded people on a number of topics. I feel sorry for those people, I really do. If you can't open your mind up to the world around you the it's really your loss. Gay, straight, Bi...all just people to me.

I don't feel you need to start changing your lifestyle to make others "feel" comfortable. Just be happy. I think that when people are conducting business that they should stay straight faced and professional no matter how they feel about what your doing. You should have called the manager later or written to corporate.

I was at the grocery store last weekend and ahead of me was a rather large young mother with three children in tow. She was sloppily dressed with unkempt hair and had a shopping cart filled to overflowing with TV dinners and junk food. There were no fruits, vegetables, salad products, or, items to combine to make nutritious meals to be cooked in an oven or pot. The foods to be cooked were for the microwave only. The cashier looked like she was having a real hard time checking out box after box of frozen meals as well as the piles of junk food snacks. She called for a box boy to help and under her breath as the family was leaving mentioned something about learning to cook and saving money.

Nothing at all! And shame on her! Though I used to get some weird looks buying gay books in Oak Lawn in Dallas. I figured, heck, if most guys have the fantasy of 2 women together, why can't a woman have the same thing? Two guys have always tripped my trigger. When I was in jr. high and high school even, all my friends were into Duran Duran or whoever and I had posters of Boy George and Adam Ant in my locker. Heck, I'm almost 40 and looove Adam Lambert! LOL. Just smile real big and say, "Aren't they hot?"
