NO!
Please read the following that is listed in the Index: Male / Female Sexual Behavior--If I like certain things does this mean I'm Gay?

Nothing "makes" you gay. If you truly think you are not then most likely you are not. You're born gay, and ultimately if you are you'll know it. Do most of your sexual fantasies feature women? Do you find yourself mostly attracted to women (even transsexuals or transvestites)? I'd hazard to say you're not then. If the answers to above are reversed or at least the larger percentage is toward same sex encounters then perhaps you need to do some honest self evaluation. But in the end . . . . you're who you are and individual sexual encounters do not define your orientation.

I say go by the orgasm litmus test. The point of orgasm is the biggest moment of truth in your life. It never lies. If you're with someone, orgasm, and your post-coitus thoughts are drifting to someone else, that's who you really should be with. If you orgasm, and it's a woman you crave to cuddle with afterwards, you're straight, regardless of what your 'funtime' activities are. If those thoughts drift to a man, then give in and jump ship. Your orgasm never lies.

As a side note, though sexuality seems to be cut and dry, in reality it's simply not the case. There is no line, there are a million shades of grey. Transvestites and Transsexuals blur these lines even futher, because they open up a million unanswerable questions. Is this a gay man? Or is this really a woman, as much as any woman I've ever known, but with the sexual organs of a man? Is a gay man a woman in a mans body? The closer the transvestite/transsexual appears to be the real thing, the more these questions blur. The more they make us realize that it's just skin and hormones, both of which can be changed by either sex, so whatever the skin says it is, it is. If that tranny looked like a woman, acted like a woman and felt like a woman, then who's to say it wasn't a woman.

I've said this before here, but you make a good point. As someone actively involved in GLBT politics it became very clear to me that frankly the "T" in GLBT was a matter of political inclusion more than similarity to gay or bi-sexual people. Some social issues and barriers overlap, like discrimination and other legal protections and rights, but transsexuals are really a case of physical gender identity and not sexual orientation. Because we're lumped together though it muddies the waters to people who don't understand the distinctions and assume all gay men "want to be women" or the reverse for lesbians. They see things like THE BIRDCAGE and consider it the male gay relationship model (although media roles have progressed a lot in presenting varied examples of different types of gay men and women). Straight men who have had a fleeting thought of a sexual act with another guy go into homophobic panic, thinking it means it's the first step to drag queen hell or something. Many believe that masculinity and having occasional same sex experiences or even being gay cannot coexist. There are indeed a million shades of gray in sexuality, and they're slowing coming to light and being acknowledged. A lot of progress in the last twenty years, but a looooong way to go as well.

Hi All,
I am new to this Forum I wonder does acting a little masculine take away for femininity? Someone who I think has had sex with a transsexual has said to me even if this (he example a woman on Spanic TV Station) as being not feminine enough even having huge boobs and huge ass. I quote he said: “Even if she puts on more makeup and more stuff she is still not feminine.” I mean he indirectly meant this to me because I recently got some fat transfers and I am looking a little bub lie. Some other people have confused me also I am very hard working and have a very strong attitude towards life does this affect my femininity in any way. Per say I do get bigger boobs and bigger butt doesn't that make me more Attractive to the opposite sex what do they want a MAN who is Feminine? Enviable Kitty* |
