Dec 1st...WHO "HIV" DAY....

Lets not forget a salient issue many may not be aware of...this was the favorite thread from You tube for me today for so many reasons:

Favorite due to the "DAY" being Dec 1:

And as a constant reminder....

Serves as a reminder for all and for those who are no longer among us...the candle cannot stop!

Please keep this day in mind...

I realize there have no responses; please keep this day in mind for those who are safe, are at risk, and who have died as a result of various HIV inducements...long ago, prior to proper screening, those who require Blood transfusions (no HIV screens were done then) since it was not realized; drugs were not available, lost their lives. Then there were those in monogamous LTR relationships and died believing their partner was not infected and the infected partner did not know. I have lost friends (straight & gay), patients, and others secondary to medical lack of knowledge at the time...I had a needle stick from a large bore blood drawing needle...no drugs were available and he was known to be HIV+ (active), gloves did nothing...bleeding the site using a tourniquet, dowsing the site in bleach worked wonders...My married spouses placed my life in danger...who would have thought? You assume you are safe while married any YOU are monogamous; this does not mean or imply the other spouse may be. Benn wrong twice during marriages trusting my spouses. This was a reasonable expectation, I though why hide any "extracurricular" activities from me? I would have understood the need and not have been happy but I would have freed each to have a good life with no bad feelings since they were truthful and upfront before endangering my welfare without me knowing. To date, I have been fortunate and STD free or well over 10-20 years!

NOTE: Side bar...Please never forget those who place them at risk to help others, who are HIV positive through LTR relationships, those affected with the disease, and those who have not survived....This means so much to me; additionally, it should to those who are straight, gay, or bi. Please take this seriously.

Remember the day DEC 1; U2's song"ONE", and Seals song "Prayer for the Dying" [on the same topic].

This is a significant issue; HIV and reducing the spread of infection potentials. CONDOMS ARE your best friend!

I think it's important for all to remember; hits hard since I began hanging out when it was unheard of [HIV] and it's devastating...glad someone read it!!!
