Threesomes or swinging

(Not too sure if this is the right forum, but it seemes like the best choice.)

So- my boyfriend and I have been toying with the idea of a threesome. We've talked about the situation, the effects it will have, and how we feel about it. We know we'd like to try something with another girl, as, like most men he would love to have 2 girls at once and see me with another woman, and I have also always wanted to have an experience with another woman. More than the mild, playful stuff from my high school/college days.

Edited to add: We've also talked about adding another couple into things... This idea excites me and just seems to make it all seem a bit more comfortable...

Does anyone have any experiences or advice to shar on this subject? I know it is not as simple as it seems. There's a lot of emotion involved in bringing another person into the mix...I'm not too sure how this affect us...
