Unfortunately - ALL TOO TRUE!
I love the Dr. Kinsey quote: “A nymphomaniac is someone who has more sex than you do.”
It's so nice and open ended. :)
If you don't already have one, I'm trying to find you a trophy online but there's nothing that really looks appropriate. Maybe a wrestling trophy? No doubt you'd had someone in a Full Nelson, or dove on someone from the top rope.
;)
Then they don't exist! *wicked evil grin*
Nymphomania as a condition has always been a myth. The one bit of information the article mentions that I was unaware of is that the therm "sexual addiction" was abandoned by DSM-IV in 1994. I never even heard the term sexual addiction until I heard some talk show gossips going on about some celebritoid going into treatment for sexual addiction back in the early 2000s. I was going to start a thread here myself on sexual addiction to get ideas on what it is. So nice to know that sex addiction, like nymphomania, is a myth.
But isn't true "sexual addiction" the addiction to being aroused rather than the sex itself?

I don't know. Perhaps an addiction to the adrenaline, endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin, seratonin and other neurotransmitters involved in arousal and release?
Sex addiction was discussed in another thread.
