Not any worthwhile without knowing some additional facts. When you are stimulating the Glans, is the Foreskin forward or retracted?

When you say that you need a break, how long are you talking about? Do you mean while he is recuperating during these refractory periods or do you mean ending a session?
Have him show you how he masturbates and then let him guide your hand for a few sessions until you learn to mimic his technique. The same works for you with him. Once you know how to stroke his penis, you should be able to help him climax until he "cries Uncle" without much if any effort on your part.
As for giving oral, try doing this with the foreskin forward. The Foreskin also has lots of sensitive nerve endings so stimulating it as well as the Glans indirectly through that layer of insulation should work quite well for him--and you.
