I find girls talk about periods very openly nowadays. As a younger man I felt it was a very very private thing and I suppose I had a natural curiosity in things like menstruation and the 'tackle' ladies used for the monthly event...pads, tampons, belts etc...(wow..belts...I think they were for looped pads before the sticky back ones came in!!)
However, I find that if I see ads on the box for tampax etc or a girl mentions that she is feeling a bit tender as 'George is here' I straightaway get a hard on. In fact I get to feel quite randy. Is this normal and is there a similar thing with ladies??

Her period makes me randy - Is this normal?...

Does it matter if its normal? Maybe you have a fetish for that kind of thing?
If it turns you on it turns you on, dont worry about it!

I think sometimes we worry about the word 'fetish'; I think it means 'an object which gives sexual pleasure' and I believe that as long as it does not hurt either party and each consents, then as you say, 'why worry about it'? Maybe there is a feeling that anything different or unusual is a 'perversion'? I wonder if any other guys feel this way or, as I asked, if there is a similar situation for the ladies?
Things change. I hosted a Czech, woman doctor several years ago. She was amazed at the adverts on out telly - many for hygiene products (which she thought very personal) and none for contraception (which she thought important to public health). I visited her and found that Czech national television was the opposite of ours.
But, all women menstruate (as all people poop), so what is the big secret? I am kind of glad that it excites. That is the best time of month for sex. Clearly my thoughts are a product of experiences starting quite young. Many women consider it undesireable at that time.
The group among whom you will be trolling have periods only as a memory! Unless, .........
The man I allude to in your other recent thread is twenty years my elder. He shares your (and my) interest.
It is okay. Part of the reason could be the knowledge that a menstruating woman is one capable of having children which tends to increase a fellow's interest on an instinctual level.

Good point, maybe a bit like an animal on heat. We had a bitch once and when she came into season, we used to get the occasional dog waiting patiently and no doubt frustratedly for his bit of fun. Dear ma-in-law used to feel sorry for the dog and the fact that it did not go home - so she would put a bowl of food out for him....some dogs have all the luck!!

I dont know why, but anything sexual that some people consider to be "wrong" gets me off more than anything else.
Maybe you're the same?

Well, I suppose it is because it is so private. I have asked if there is anything which a woman might find as exciting about a man; maybe semen on the bed..semen inside underpants...I am referring to a lady 'discovering' this and maybe bgetting excited by it.
I am also wondering why a period is the best time for sex as Brandye indicates. Maybe because it is a very very 'safe' time..although that should not be a problem given the reliable methods of contraception. But if a lady finds it enjoyable then that would be just great for men like me!!!
Sex is mostly psychological. I (accidentally) had several very important sexual, and other, experiences while I was very young.
Physically, the entire lower abdomen is engorged during our periods and the release tends to be more pwerful. During our periods, we tend to be very aware of our sex - it requires constant attention.
On the other hand, some women feel crappy and it is messier. We each reach our own points of desire and tolerance.
I get kinda horny when my wife is on her period because we rely on condoms exclusively for contraception. When she is on her period I get to go without a condom and get to finish inside her which feels way better.
Problem is my wife is least horny when she is on her period so I've learned not to get my hopes up too much.

Sorry Brandye, I am just slightly confused. When you say that you and your friend (lucky man) share my interest, which interest are you referring to? Maybe the interest in sex with another lady such as yourself to compensate for a disabled partner or sex during menstruation?
It worries me that you think you dont need to use a condom when your wife has her period.......
maupassant,
He shares your interest in menstrual sex. I think it is the best time for sex. Both happy.

Well, as I have said already Brandye, what a lucky man he is!!!!
Maybe we should start a facility for helping out guys and ladies in my situation? I guess there must be ladies who care for a disabled husband/partner and who would welcome the chance to get rid of their sexual frustrations.

I thought there was a small chance for pregnancy, even if she is on her period? I would still use condoms to be on the safe side.

I read somewhere ages ago in your fascinating postings that you and your lady friend both know when it is time for penises. I wonder if you engineer visits to your male friend so that it is during your period? (I don't know whether you are of an age that you still have them. As you said earlier, the ladies I would be likely to troll would have long since dumped the san belts etc!!)
